In this years AFL Prospectus here's the comment about Bannister for fantasy footy purposes:
"I'm surprised he is still on the list. Avoid."
Says it all really.

Raso? Bit harsh. Have you even seen him play?

no one has seen him play because the poor kid is always injured :D :p . I feel for him, but if he's constantly carrying an injury perhaps he should be given the chop so that a fresh player can take his spot?

I would be very surprised if Raso is cut from the list at the end of the year.

No, but that's been the problem. He is now competing with Flint, Hartlett, Bower for a spot in the team. I cannot see him overtaking these guys. Can you?
Where do you see him playing?
Who's position should be take?

Why is he competing with Bower, Hartlett and Flint? They're all KPP and Raso is a flanker/midfielder.

Give Raso a break. He's only been on our list for 2 years, and barely trained in his first season. I'm not sure if you people noticed, but he is a development player - the club always knew he was going to take time. You don't cut a development player after barely over a year on your list (unless, of course, they've shown absolutely nothing). Give him some time, remember this time ago a 20/21 year old Simpson, who like Raso was always going to take long given his slight frame, was also being talked as a likely delistee - good thing the club stuck with him, huh?

Depth player..........and I mean DEEEEEEP.
if he gets a senior game in 07 then we have some major injury concerns.
2008 - Delisted, playing VFL full time, or maybe SANFL.

Noticed he has 2 more games to play, then he reaches 50 AFL games.
Maybe the club will be kind to him, and he'll get 2 games if he's filling in for an injury.
But it's Goodbye to Bannister at the end of the year. There are too many others ahead of him at this stage.

There were some interesting milestones in Round 22 last year with Sporn, McGrath and Teague playing their 50th games. Sporn & McGrath were delisted not long after and who knows how many more games Teague will play.

Phone a friend on this one.............
Hi its bluebear here............the question is "How many more games will David Teague play in the seniors for the CFC?"............
Easy Eddie: Assuming that the team bus doesn't explode one day and all of the Ants players have to front up for the seniors, the answer is obviously ZERO. :thumbsu:
what a fantastic game by banno yesterday. keep this up and he'll be playing in our next premiership side for sure. added another dimension to our ailing defence.

Fantastic effort, Banno - definitely proofed me wrong. Now if only he can do that consistently. Still don't like him having the ball in his hands, but was fantastic defensively on Johno.

It's an embarassing joke that Bannister looks like surviving another year when he's a dud and just a tagger. :thumbsd:
Even Peverill the muppet manged to kick a goal on the weekend, so don't rave about a flukey snapped goal.

Being a bit unfair aren't you?
I didn't see the game on the weekend but from what I saw in the first two rounds he is set for a big year.
"Just a tagger"? WTF........are we trying to have a midfield where NONE of them stops their opponent? I was thinking that maybe we need to drop someone like Scotty and bring in Jacko to have another tagger. Our midfield pressure is shyte, why make that even more shyte by dropping Banno?

On the weekend he played on Stanton for most of the game. Stanton had 19 possessions, but was largely ineffective

He did a great job on Stanton. Shut him out of playing a big role in the game. It was a great effort.

Mate, if Russell knew how to kick, he wouldn't have dropped that mark

Yep. That was a terrible kick, a true hospital pass and not even our ruckmen would have marked it.
Banno has had a solid start to the season and hope he gets another job this week on either Didak the crim or Thomas the pony.

Exactly, the pass from Russell to Bannister was dreaful, it set him right up, no fault of Banno's..
So far, his three opponents have had no impact on games, and Banno is even on the scoresheet, he's played as a tagger twice, and a defender once, what more does he have to do?

Perhaps a name change..? :p:D

He should change his name to Joshua J. Kennedy, then despite not showing any ability at all in his AFL Career (although Banno has clearly proved he warrants a spot in our 18, this is a reference to JK), Carlton fans still wouldn't bag him, and they'd still say he's going to be a superstar, because 'big men/KPP' take time to develop, yet Kreuzer steps straight in and looks right at home...
