Should be a one horse race.

A big name to compete with, but did so admirably and in his own right was a very, very good footballer. His foot skills and precise passing was second to none. Young Teddy could have been more highly regarded but for the knee injury that curtailed his career.

I think Ted Jnr was better than all of those but most of his career is prior 1980

Quill was a one-man blooper reel. He was good value for at least 2 gifted goals a game to the opposition. I once saw him at Princes Park in 1995 kick the ball from the left half back flank (pre-Legends Stand End) to the right back pocket out of bounds on the full! James Cook of course kicked the resultant goal for Carlton.

Who could forget him directing play against Freo at the kennel in 1995, motioning to his teammates to head to the outer wing and then kicking it in-board straight to Ben Allen. Siren sounds, and Ben Allen falls 5 metres short of winning the game after the siren.

Quill gives Sedat a run for his money in the appaling stakes.

Yes, he tried his absolute hardest and he played plenty more games than I did, but God it was frustrating watching him from the stands.

Went for Peter Quill. Did a few good things. Never got to watch EJ Jnr play. Mark Cullen was poo. Addison is a likely type, let's hope he makes the number 22 memorable for all the right reasons.

Ted Whitten Jr played for Victoria. Who else on that list comes even close to an achievement like that?

Went for EJ Jnr. Great player tho I missed his best and he only played a handful of games before retiring.

In regards Peter Quill. Ididn;t think he was too bad. Thougt we were a better team when he played than when he didn't.

Re Mark Cullen, just didn't know when to give it off. Was a goal hungry/selfish player, without Kevin Bartlett's skills!

Ted Whitten Junior played best on the late 70's. But a very underrated player.

Kelvin Templeton was fed many goals from his great passes.

Was that post 1980 though? I am too young to have any idea.

I'm not sure, actually. I was in England for his 70s performances so I missed them too. He still wins clearly on what I did see of him in the 80s.

(I'd be tempted to say that if some people are giving votes to players who've played maybe 4 games on promise, I reserve the right to give votes to players whose best years were before 1980. At least their form then is something other than wishful thinking and guesswork. But in this case I don't have to.)
