Good to see the comp up and running. I thought it would be nice to have a thread discussing the week's match-ups, a bit of sledging, and laughing at Grim's team.

Go nuts...

Fair enough, but I'm not smart enough to engage in the mind games. I'll just enjoy the game and play in the right spirit.

I like your team Warwick.:thumbsu: You will go far.

Good luck mate.

I'll have a word with toddy and see what's up.

Knowing him, he would be studying 5 hours a week to ensure his team is the best possible. He wants this one badly, after his shellackings in the draft games.

It should be interesting because Grim needs to peg back some respect on here as well after a disastrous month of tipping.

I'm just looking forward to sitting back and watching them get hot under the collar.

New to supercoach, so I'll just be feeling my way. If I can use an AFL analogy, I am in the development stage.

Warwick I think will be stiff competition during the H&A season and he'll be very keen to shrug off the choking tag.

If toddy comes good, expect a laugh a minute. Of course there's no limitations on how many fullbacks he can use, so he'll be as happy as a pig in poo.

TFB I think will let his team do the talking but expect a well timed sledge when you least expect it.

John will come out all guns blazing, will have some good games but will be too inconsistent to win it IMO. Expect the 'Murdoch press' to be blamed whenever he loses, with quite probably a fair few expletives thrown in.

No problems there.

I've just completed the finishing touches to my team. The only problem is due to time constraints, I have had to pick a team of proven performers. I don't have the luxury to pick the cash cows that are guaranteed to triple in value. So I expect to be at my best in the early stages of the year - injuries or poor form will hurt me.

I just hope I haven't made any massive mistakes and picked negative scoring players. Who knows with the scoring system in this game.

At what point do we give up on Toddy and Scotty and let the reserve teams enter? Bit unfair to leave it to the last minute, because they probably need a bit of time to prepare.

If you left two spots open by the lock-out time, two random teams would automatically be shifted into our league to make 16.

I say we give toddy and Scotty until Monday or Tuesday before the reserves come in.

I'm not saying that. :D

I'm just interested in what strategy people have used.

Have you gone for 2 awesome rucks, plus 2 rookies to save money?

Have you gone for 4 rucks who are absolutely certain to increase in value to trade them for when the better players decrease?

Have you picked 3 similar rucks for security?

Have you picked 4 rookies and spent your money elsewhere?

I prefer DT, for me it is easier to pick trends, etc, finished top 50 of all lions supporters last year. 900 overall

SC is harder to pick tagers causing clangers etc but fairer to effective ball users. around 1400 in SC last year.

This is only my third year.
