Heard that dandy Council has bought up a whole heap of water from somewhere on the Penisula with the idea of using it on sporting grounds... Sorry that I'm vague but heard it second hand that there was a report on the news last night about it. Would be a big positive for the state of gronds if true. Anyone see this and know more than I do?

Springy, How is the state of the ground at Newcomen Rd. do the council consider this venue one of the better grounds in the city of Dandenong, if so what are they doing to maintain the venue to an acceptable standard, heard rumors last year after the finals that Springy Districts would not consider tendering for the divvy 1 finals this year due to expense,Is this true springy,How are you boys shaping up this season what praccy matches do you boys have in store :thumbsu:

It would be fair to say the ground is ordinary at best Nobster. We had a boxing session on Monday in the rooms, but looking out onto the ground was quite depressing. Weeds & Dirt more than anything else. As for the practise matches, we travel to Woodend on March 31st where there is bore water in full use, which means the ground is lush and soft, something a few of our older bodied players will appreciate... We also play Highett, but unsure of a date as yet.

Hey Springy,
Some great pick ups for you guys this year, especially Vassalo. Is the evergreen Nigel Scott going around again? Don't think I ever saw him play a bad game during his time in the Riverina.

The pick-ups should be handy for us guru.. We have had a few losses though. Losing Quinn, Chievv & Makary leave a few holes that we are hoping we can fill. Nige is going around again. Always been a consistent player, he will no doubt be one of our better ones again....

You guys have your best shot yet Springy. My only concern is that i heard your ground is that bad you wouldn't get on there for the first few rounds.

Ours is rock hard & full of weeds - but has apparrently been given the ok to play on. I'm tipping it will turn to sh*t once the real rain comes.

I just heard that on the grapevine, I'm invoved at Lyndale s you hear bits and pieces from around the traps. If it's not true you guys should feel pretty confident about this season. Our ground is holding up Ok, hopefully the rain forecast for the next 3 or 4 days happens and I think all clubs will breathe a huge sigh of relief.

went past on the train sunday morning and i thought it looked pretty good when you compare it to most grounds. this rain is helping!
dingley have picked up a new playing coach in full forward adam quinn.
After not being able to compete at all in Casey Cardinia league last year, it will be interesting to see how they fair.
they are still a relatively young side though. they were completely outclassed in 2006.
hopefully things far better in 2007 for them.

Lyndale and Quinn.
watch out for willow.
a very good runner off the half-back flank. has a good pair of dukes. It is his first season since coming back from spending a few years out in the bush, will come into his own in tight situations and be a real match winner
very big signing along side quiney.
Michael MArzealli also another one who should be taking the next step up this year. Has been working hard in the gym and has lifted his playing weight from 72kgs to 78kgs.
all very good down at the dingoe den

You heard it first right here Round 4 will be Parkmores last in Div2 they will be re-graded to Div 3 from round 5 no bye in Div3 and a bye in Div 2.Right from the Jolly Rogers mouth.

If this proves to be the case, it would just be another band aid solution for the aling Parkmore. A stand should have been taken at the end of 2005, not let them buy a divvy 3 flag in 2006 and now make a mockery of division 2.
For the sake of the Southern Football League put them in recess untill they can prove they have two full sides.
Please remember a number of people give up overtime on Saturday,s to play in the reserves, only to front up to a no show.

If this is true will the League notify Clubs this week so teams can prepare prior to next weeks round.

Putting parkmore in Div 3 probably won't solve their problems, but if they start turning up to play in the twos when they're in Div 3 it just shows how yellow some of their blokes are!!! Running away like sparrows in Div 2 but keen to play in Div 3.
They should be put into recess!!!!!!!!

Any gossip on the SFL board meeting to discuss Parkmores future tonight, any chance they will be re-graded down to div 3, or be suspended for the rest of the season.Whats the opinion from Div 2 clubs ?:thumbsu:
Not that I can speak for our committee but we all have to remember here clubs (should) set budgets each year. With the possibility of an unforeseen bye and in our case possibly one less home game it puts a bit of a dent in what I hears an already well behind budget due to everyones training difficulties earlier in the year. I reckon the Pirates should be made to play the year out in the division it started in. It's not U15's footy where I know they can be re-graded after so many rounds. If they only turn up with a senior side its better than no game at all.

I agree with 95Puma leave them in Div 2 as for blokes not playing due to it being Div 2, get over it House the standard isn't that great !
House, you guys should hope that Parkmore stay in Div 2 as that may mean you guys might get another win for the year.
It is going to be a very long year !!! :D :D :D

Judging by some of his comments in the local papers, it sounded like he was frustrated with a few aspects of Lyndales game. Did he give a reason Donkey?

No reason whatsover. Just texted the prez saying that he was resigning effective immediately. Might be best for everyone in the long run.

Just things weren't running smoothly at puma land. Rather keep it in house. From what i have gathered there is a huge sunday sip for kenny down at the club rooms. Think it starts around midday. Hopefully some money can be raise for him.
