Whats going on with JJ. Will he play rd 1?
No....
When it comes to our players injuries nothing is a given, so past round 1 i have no idea
i think he is expected to be back playing in the seniors in round 3
i think they are planning to give him a couple of warm up matches with bendigo. they don't want a repeat of last year with jj

Take all the time he needs...........25 rounds or so should do it! :p
Seriously though, he's not a favourite of mine, and hasn't given anything to the club for a while now.
He is too slow and has the wrong mindset for the current state of footy!
The longer his spot is given to a youngster, the better off Essendon will be in the long run!

2005 so long ago is it (not to mention the 2nd half of '06) ? And i'd think he has a great mindset, he just needs to get his foot sorted.

He won a B&F two seasons ago and averaged 26 disposals and a goal per game in the second half of last season. In his last game he was best on the ground.
Sack him, sack him now.

Although jj might not have the speed to keep up with the game his hard ball gets are always in the top percent of the league and he will always give 100%

Are you kidding me? Our running midfielders will benefit heaps from a fully fit JJ feeding the ball out to them.
We sure as hell missed him in the Carlton game a few weeks ago.

Is it the same problem he had last year??
If it is, maybe a 2yr deal wasnt smart and we should have got rid of him if its going to be a major problem.
Fully Fit JJ is always welcome however.

Of course, but getting a fully fit JJ seems to have been hard to get recently.
He wasn't fit to start last year and it didn't help him or the team.
If he can be right by the time he does play then who know's what he'll do for us!:)

No it's not.

I don't think he can. Seemed to me like he was talking crap.

Well yeah, probably the wrong wording.
What I was trying to say, is that seeing him live especially, he'll take a mark and his immediate reaction seems to be to go back and kick over his mark, waiting too long, while all the free players becomed marked.
He just needs to keep things moving!
we tend to do it too much at times, handball it off when there are opposition players around to apply pressure straight away, can get terribly frustrating

Pretty hard to pin that observation on him solely. I recall he had at least 21 mates doing that on any given week last season.

Alrighty people, difference in opinion.
I'm not a huge fan, not saying he's useless, hopefully he comes out this season tears it up and proves me wrong!
Hopefully we can move on now! :)
