Short history
------------------

Originally from a basketball background and having won a scholarship doing such he decided to give football a go and was eventually fast tracked up to the Oakleigh U/18 team and pretty soon after was dominating. For a player over 200cm has excellent skills below his knees and as on display in the intra club has fantastic ball palming ability for a player still wet behind the ears in AFL football. Also has a great size for a young boy with not a whole lot of filling out to do. Probably seen as a project pick up to a lot of media analysers but make no mistake this boy will make it and make it in a big way.

AFL Website 2007 Kangaroos Preview

Todd Goldstein - The 201cm ruckman averaged 20 hit-outs per game with the Oakleigh Chargers last year and helped the side triumph in the TAC Cup Grand Final. Prior to that, Goldstein had been mixing it with the best in the Australian under-19 basketball side.

Has apparently now been swapped from North Ballarat to Tassie at the VFL level. Played with Tassie in last Saturday's practice match against West Adelaide, and now confirmed by the official Devils list for 2007.

Must have been fairly recent - I spoke quickly to one of the Devils trainers after the game and he said that he was surprised when Todd turned up.
