A few months back i heard the song touched by vast, which is on 'the beach' soundtrack, and it is an awesome song. In fact, i would rate it right up there as one of my VERY favourite songs.

And the other day i decided to see what their other stuff was like, so i downloaded their collection, and i must say that they are a brilliant band.

At a time, when i really dislike current music, and the rock that is around, is very plain and bland, not like classic rock. But these guys, although they're not really rock, have giving me faith once again that music can be reserrected from mediocrity.

They are so unique. Not one song sounds like another, and they are just really relaxing to listen to. I dont know what genre you would put them under, but they have quickly risen to be one of my favourite bands.

They have a sound which isn't like other bands, and although its not anything close to heavy (the way i like it most of the time), in fact its very soft music, i can just sit her and listen to these guys, and know that there is a band that has music that has completely unique sounds and i can just listen to them and 'chill'.

They dont have one genre they stick to, whatever they feel like, they sing. As they say, their music is about freedom, its for the people.

For anyone who is bored with music these days, its definetaly a time to look to Vast - they are really incredible.

A friend put me on to vast hmm two or three years ago now, I bought the CD single which has Pretty when you cry and touched on it. Touched is amazing....

I have both the CD's that VAST have released.

It really is only one guy though. He does most of the stuff, with a few people lending a hand with guitars and drums here and there. But it is some awesome stuff!

His latest one was not as good as his first, but it's still good none the less.
