Speaking of commentators, I watched a replay of the Freo v Port game yesterday and that game had the worst commentary team in the history of sport. Glen "Slappo" Jakovich, Liam "player manager" Pickering, the guy who calls the NBL on foxtel (don't know his name, Steve Carfino's girlfriend) and Drew Banfield. We better not get that band of wallies for an away game!

totally agree the commentary during the game was about as exciting as watching parliment time at 1 am . When will a t.v station and i dont care which one actaully get a guest commentator who doesnt have a pathological hatred for the Dockers. Last season it was flat face wilson and now jakovich, its like trying to get an unbiased comment from barrich or langon on that other poor excuse for a radio station . And old george if the ever was a case for euthenasia he has got to be it .He clearly doenst like the Dockers and said he sick of the same old problems they have, well here is a tip mate dont talk about them on eagle am located ot 882 on your am dial

Had a few fans in front of me during the game plug their radiop on to 6PR and at half time all the commentators talked about was the eagles. FFS, the last time I checked they are not commentating an eagles game.
I heard reports that the TV commentary was very poor Macka. Jako is evidently following in Wilson's footsteps.
I have a dream that one day an ex-freo boy will get a regular gig in the media.

ABC radio wasn't much better.
Lots of talk about the eagles and some barracking for Port. :eek:
At one stage I think it was Annear or the new bloke (It was'nt GM or Judgey) that said " Was that a push in the back to a port player? " when the ball was in Ports forward area .
And then a pause and a big "Yes!!!"
George may be annoying sometimes but how often can you not argue with him because the dockers where terrible! That is our fault for putting half hearted performances.
Was it only me who felt they had been transported back before the mid year break last season? Starting to feel as though the last half a season was a dream!!!
