THE Windies' last two World Cup games are shaping up as a valedictory to captain Brian Lara, who will retire from one-day internationals after the tournament.
Lara, who turns 38 on May 2, said: "My day in the sun is over. It's tough playing one-day internationals out there."
The record-breaking batsman, who has played in 297 matches and scored 10,354 runs with 19 centuries, will finish his one-day career against England at the Kensington Oval on April 21, the team's final Super Eights match.
The West Indies can still make the semi-finals but need an unlikely sequence of results to allow them into the last four via the back door.

Hopefully he goes out on a high note and smashes a ton against the poms!

Hopefully those Windies players can drag themselves out of the nightclubs for just one night and give the poms a frightful caning:D

He won't play in Australia again, test tour would be at least 2 years away for Windies.
