Jordan Lewis

The last three weeks has been in the top of the possesion getters and is hands down been the most consistant player in the team. With Lewis stepping up AC has shown we dont need Mitchell in every contest to win a clearance. Lewis is finnally getting more game time, has got a better engine and disposal has improved. He is still hard at it and has seemed to look after his temper!

It seems like we all tend to forget about Lewis with Hodge and Mitch around him. I personally think he would be a dominant mid in most clubs.

Absolutely, he's slimmed down and has become one of the best ball magnets at the club.

Was close to best on ground today. Great game.

According to SEN, North's mini-comeback in the last quarter coincided with Jordo coming off the ground. Fwiw.

Can i put a special mention for Clinton Young... he is someone i've never rated higher than Nathan Lonie... but has proved me wrong every match this year... has been absolutely fantastic. Am very happy he is a hawk.

He has proven he can be a cool and calm head running out of defence. Good dashing player who will take them on. Geez even his thin frame dropped Wellsy which was good to see.

Keep it going Youngy.

Nathan Lonie couldn't wash Clinton's Vesper

.

After Clinton's debut against North in the 9th round of 2005, just weeks after being taken off the rookie list, I wrote about some special skill qualities in this kid.

Strangely, time and again posters in creating their ideas of the make up of the team would forget him (unwarranted) and, after being reminded that there is a player by the name of Clinton Young available, would then re-write their team to include him.

Alastair and his assistants have put a great deal of faith in him, was a Rising Star nominee last year, and now the fruit is being reaped.

Clint's a quiet achiever. I agree with Binxy. He should not be mentioned in the same breath as Lonie who is comparatively limited as far as having a variety of skills.

Lewis had a good game except for that hospital kick he gave Buddy on the wing.

Clinton Young was fantastic tonight. I was really pleased when he broke the lines in the last quarter. It didn't result in a goal but it was good to see him taking players on.

Can I just add that Clinton's just a really good guy, too.
I had a chat with him at the Family Day: he is a level-headed and pleasant country kid.

I really hope he consolidates in the team.
