Hmmm, an interesting, honest account of the last 12 months from Roo without the journalist trying to enter their own opinions every second paragraph. Leaving it up to the reader to decide what it all means rather than telling them what conclusion they should be drawing. Revolutionary... :rolleyes:

Refreshing to read a Adelaide Crows related article thats not an opinion piece.
I can't wait to see him play again, will be a huge game.

Those channel 10 commentators were absolutely right I reckon, and it kills me to think what could have been both last year and in 2005. :(

Love her or hate her but Caro is one of the best footy journalists going around.

After her very kind words last Monday night on the new channel 9 football show “footy confidential” regarding the father son ruling and now this sensational article on our skipper Mark Ricciuto, it has to cross my mind and wonder what the hell she wants. :thumbsu:

I liked the bit where Roo talks about being in the coaches box. "Craigie reckons I've been useless in there." It's funny sometimes how one little comment like this can give you a window into their relationship and personality types. You hear about Neil Craig's sense of humour and rapor with the players, nice to get a tid bit like this.

Because Caro writes for the Age which is a fairfax paper and The Advertiser is a Murdoch paper so they can only get content from other Murdoch media such as the Herald Sun.

I think Jerome was trying to make the point that The Advertiser might be missing out on stories and interviews like this one. Are the Crows reluctant to speak openly and honestly to Advertiser 'journalists' for any reason?
We have ended up in a vicious cycle. Crows players won't be open with the Advertiser because they don't respect their chief football writer and feel he has been biased against them. This angers the chief football writer who writes bitter articles filled with petty pot shots about the Crows. And the division widens.

It begs the question why Fairfax don't publish an Adelaide equivalent of The Age. Surely they could put The Advertiser out of business, if there was a quality alternative?

I used to by the sunday age (its a national version) but it ended up just being a lot of victorian stuff.
hopefully we get something new soon.
this by ashley porter is the first article i have read which mentions that the crows young brigade where a dominant factor in the win

Hi Team, I know this may get overlooked as a joke but I beleive now is the right time. Adelaide needs a new Paper. The Advertiser is the most hated paper in Australia. If you guys published an Adelaide Version of the Age I am 100% sure you would outsell the crappy advertiser rag in no time. Please make sure you don't take Rucci. We are all trying to get rid of him. You guys have integrity. Please help Adelaide and bring competition back to our news stand. It's time.
