Interested in who people rate higher after both were taken in the same draft.
Mifielder over a back flanker any day. Waters will be a good player nevertheless but Cooney has the potential to be the best.
Most people will vote Cooney, Waters isn't really that high profile outside our club with all the susperstars around him.

Cooney is a player who performs when the team is going well. Waters much more consistent and plays best when 1 on 1 football unlike Cooney who goes missing fa too often. However Cooney's best is better.

I rate Waters, hard nut who is consistently good.
But I believe Cooney is the better player.
Waters is an average HB flanker type. Cooney by an absolute mile. Is this a Weagle talk-up poll? :)

Yeah spot on Parrot, your standard Andrew Walker type really ;)

Where's the Cooney by a country mile option?

Keep dreaming. Walker's showing glimpses of his superstar potential this year. I hope you're enjoying it. Waters is just your stock-standard ordinary Judd-support tagger type player. I bet you're a little nervous over Judds contract - it's the difference between a Weagles top-4 and a 9th finish isn't it. :)

I tend to agree. Pagan continues to slowly remove the leash from Walker and he looks like becoming one of the competitions elite. The Pagan masterstroke of giving AW a run in the forward line v Bombers; 1. ignited the Blues 2. showed how dangerous AW can be in any position on the ground. I'll take an elite, 200 game + gamebreaker like Walker, over a garden variety halfback flanker like Waters any day....

Cooney has not performed at all to my expectations. Thus far it would be touch and go but Cooney supposedly has more upside.
i would have Cooney if I had one pick, but so far Waters may have outperformed him.
I voted Cooney but with some thought, unlike most of the drones who haven't seen Waters play.

Put Cooney in West Coast's side and he would dominate.
Potential matchwinner versus a solid contributor.

Waters is a great little player who fears no-one and goes in to every contest 100%. Plenty of Balls, good intelligence and a good disposal. Cooney is more of a flashy midfielder and therefore demands more spotlight. Although, Cooney's best probably overshadows Waters' Best. That being said, Waters' is a great player to watch and these days is a rare breed.

No, most people will vote Cooney because he's clearly better than Waters.
