Went to watch Box Hill yesterday and the amount of players walking around in the crowd was scary.

They included Bateman,Dowler,Moss,Murphy,Thorp,Tuck,Collins,Suckling and young Kennedy although he played in the reserves, alot of young talent seems to be injured already.

Probably a good thing to get rid of injuries early in their careers rather that later

Not good to see so many carrying injuries at this stage but it reinforces the need for patience.

Most of the players mentioned (apart form Changa) are first and second year players anyway so a cameo senior appearance would mean 1 of 2 things:

1. Superb Box Hill form.

2. The season has turned to s*it, we have heaps of injuries and nothing to lose.

While it has been great to get gametime into Lewis, Buddy, Birch, Roughy, etc. it must be acknowledged that has been through necessity more than anything else. We had to put a broom through the place with the blokes who weren't doing the job. Losing Thompson did not help regards structure.

If we have done the rebuilding job properly, in future we won't be bringing players into the side to give them experience - the will have to force themselves into the team with consistant good form at Box Hill.

It didn't hurt Tucky who played 50 reserves games before making his senior debut or Dipper, who I reckon played closer to a hundred.
