Tomahawk or Gibbs. Although both will probably be superstars who will be the best.

Gibbs

Tom Hawkins would of been number 1 pick hadn't it been for the father son rule. Carlton tried to get him but should still be happy with Gibbs.

to answer your query: i think both will be champions of their club for the next ten years, but i think gibbs might just have the edge, even if he is a little slow at showing it.

Carlton tried to get him

Who says?

Yeah, Hawkin's a gun but considering we already had enough forwards and needed a classy midfielder more than anything else, we're happy with Gibbs.

It's like saying would you prefer a Judd (star midfielder) or a Jon Brown (star forward).

Both are champions but it comes down to whether you want a star mid or forward, not who is the most valuable player.

I'd take Gibbs to run around with Deledio, Tambling and Edwards :thumbsu:

I'd take Tomahawk to replace Richo. ;)

Talented midfielders are a dime a dozen. Hawkins is something special and there isnt gonna be another KPP of this quality in a long, long time.

I think here we have two guys who will be in Mike Sheahans top 10 for about 10 years. Toss of the coin.....Gibbs.

Both will be great players I suspect. Gibbs is just pure class and more versatile. Watching this guy play, it's just amazing that he's only turned 18 recently. Poise, balance, and brilliant decision making under extreme pressure. So far he's played HF flank, midfield, wing, HB flank, and FB. Whatever he does, he does well. He's also become somewhat of a leader among the younger players. He skills are just brilliant, with a text-book perfect 50m+ penetrating kick. His evasive skills are elite already. A gifted footballer. The best #1 pick in the past 25 years. :)

I dont think either Geelong or Carlton are too upset with what they ended up with. With a bit of hard work both might make it as reasonable footballers!!! :D

Both guns and impossible to seperate. Would prefer gibbs at the lions though.

But think leuenberger may be better then both but time will tell.
