Crissy, if you are going to go from 1990, with all due respect you shouldn't even bother with this poll. 1989 was the greatest Grand Final ever which most people on this site would agree.

Surely you just gave a good reason why he SHOULD say since 1990. What's the use of a thread in which just about everyone gives the same answer?

Well excluding 1989 I would say either 1993 or 2000 (for obvious reasons)
But I was at 2005 and they was pretty damn awesum

02, an unexpected close game that was brilliant all day
the 05 & 06 games were nothing special in terms of games, the first half of both were pretty ordinary......the ends had u on the edge of ur seat tho

I agree, stuff the 1990 rule 89 had it all
A 9 goal haul from a player in the losing team
Players getting picked at the opening bounce
Players playing on despite serious injury (Dipper is one tough guy to play with a punctured lung  )
89 had it all including the close result
'89 is overrated. Geelong were NEVER going to win that game. Watching it at the time, I reckon everyone knew that.

I sure as hell didn't. I was at the game, and I seriously though they were going to overrun us. The siren bought such relief, I can barely describe it...
Overrated? No way on God's green earth...

Bloods. Couldn't disagree more. Hawthorn were playing with 16 fit men in the end. If the game had of gone another few minutes, in my opinion we would have lost.
The best Grand Finals were the wins by the Brisbane Lions in 2001, and the Sydney Swans in 2005, as they broke long flag droughts.
