this just came across my desk shortage of umpires sure to shake things up a bit
I was speaking to xxxxxxxxxx last night and he asked me to inform all clubs of the possibility of having to play some Sunday matches. Apparently there is a huge shortage of umpires and Sunday matches is one way to alleviate the problem. Football clubs will be meeting early next week to vote on the proposal, if they vote against it it will mean having to use club umpires for senior footy matches. I will let everyone know the outcome when I hear, in the mean time you may wish to discuss it with your football counterparts.
