I've got the weekend off and it's on my side of town.
Looking forward to getting my first look at this new and improved Scorpions team.

Scorpions sting Seagulls with a draw (http://realfooty.com.au/news/news/scorpions-sting-seagulls-with-a-draw/2007/04/22/1177180483200.html)

CASEY has fought back from a 40-point final-quarter deficit to snatch a draw with Williamstown.
Just as Williamstown stormed home against Port Melbourne to steal a draw last week, the Scorpions made superb use of the final-quarter wind to give the Seagulls a taste of their own medicine.
Kicking 6.7 in the last term, while restricting Williamstown to three points, Casey looked the winner before falling short of a famous victory.
Williamstown held a six-point lead at the 22-minute mark, before Collingwood goalsneak Chris Egan had the chance to shut the gate when he pounced on a loose ball only 20 metres out. But his dribbling snap bounced around the goal post.
Ex-Bulldog Shane Birss then had the opportunity to drag the margin back to a point for Casey, but his snap from 35 also missed.
It was the smallest man on the park in young Scorpion Kyle Mathews who stood the tallest.
Troy Makepeace tore through the centre, but his lunging pursuer pressured him into kicking a 20-metre mongrel punt to centre half-forward.
The 68-kilogram Mathews took a diving chest mark on the 50-metre paint, took a stuttering run and unleashed a booming drop punt from 52 metres that cleared the pack to level the scores.
Casey had one final opportunity to take the lead — which it had not held since the game's opening minutes — with St Kilda rookie Clinton Jones running down the wing looking to launch the Scorpions into attack. But he ran too far and was penalised. With the scores locked, the siren sounded two minutes later.
Williamstown looked set for a comfortable win and had led by 36 points at quarter-time, thanks to three early goals from Dean Limbach. But Casey kicked 14 goals to eight after the first break, ignited by a brilliant second half from Makepeace.
The ex-Kangaroo had his colours lowered early but found another gear after a rev-up from his coach.
"He had a poor first half, so I said to him at half-time, 'C'mon mate, let's go. I need to get you in the game'," Casey coach Peter Banfield said. "It was a good fightback, but we had our chances and probably should have won it."
Williamstown sits third on the ladder after one win and two draws.
and the good news was David Armitage got best for Casey

Hi I am a friend of Garrubba from Sydney and am interested in how he is going. I have noticed he has been in the best players list, inc;luding best on gorund in the three games.
So a bit of feedback would be appreciated as I never felt he got a fair go in Sydney.

This is not a dream team question as I don’t have Fergus Watts in my dream team.
I read on the St Kilda web site that Fergus Watts is out for 2 weeks with a foot injury, is this a serious injury or just a minor injury that will see him playing sooner rather than latter?
What has his form been like at Casey Scorpions (has he played any games) and is he likely to get any games in the AFL this year?

As you know - Fergus had a nasty spiral break in his leg early 2006 season.
He recovered well enough to play at the end of 2006 but then suffered from plantar fasciitis. It has prevented him from playing so far this season. Apparently his is showing signs of a full recovery at training and is only 2 weeks or so away from playing. He will most likely go straight into the Casey Scorpions when he is ready to play and if he shows enough he may push for senior selection before the break.
Who in their right mind would have Fergus Watts in their dream team?
Also what is plantar fasciitis and a "spiral break" in your leg?

A spiral break - is as it sounds - instead of breaking the bone straight through, it was a spiral shaped break along a length of bone.
Plantar fasciitis is a painful condition of the foot where inflammation of the fascia (the sheath around / separating muscles / tendons and other tissues) prevents normal movement. Ironically - can be treated by jumping from a fair height in order to tear the fascia from the bone.
Fergus took the safe approach and had it surgically done.
Punter!

Didn't Harvey have something like that last year?? And he chose to tear it himself by jumping from a height, rather than miss a month of football?

He certainly did. Jumped on and off a chair apparently.
It's not the recommended way of treating the injury and the pain is supposed to be excruciating but that's Harves for you. Absolute legend. :thumbsu:
