i said it last year and im saying it again we have the worst backline in our history the only light we have is andrew mcay, the rest should be sacked!!!! i bet not even fremantle will have them!
full forwards will kick records against us you watch! manton always beaten, mansfeild should retire,hotten should sack himself,fletcher should learn how to get the ball,i could go on and on!! where in big trouble we will defently not make the finals need too look at recruits for next year,a complete new side ,mcernan the biggest mistake in carltons history !!! if any one can convince me that im wrong please do so!!!!

I don't think georgee is a Carlton supporter.
Tashi, do you do anything, either here or on the blue view, but bag Carlton? You are obsessed.
I dunno if our defence is the worst.......could be.....though a slip from being the best defence last year (statistically) to the worst his year is a big slip.

Okay so we have given away... what... 30 goals to two accurate sides? How many have we scored? 13 lousy goals in two matches. Seems we have a slight problem in defence and a major one up forward. The common denominator here? The midfield support and supply. Yet Plunkett has been good, Bradley serviceable and Campo much better yesterday. Their delivery needs much work but there is another common theme here. We are getting murdered in the ruck contests. We have a ruckman content to play as a winger where he won't have an opponent. When he does have an opponent, he gets made to look second rate. More than meets the eye.

i been a carlton supporter for over 30 years and in all our premerships we had the best bakleines,etc southby,doulee,ken hunter,english,silvani,sexton,dean, i could go on and on, the only player that can match it with these champions today who plays in the backline is andrew mcay,beleive me i hate to say it but we realy are in trouble! could be a inter club problem, our moral has being busted ,altho i do beleive we will beat collindwood next week,but we need alot of work if we want to give the premership a shake!!and it defently starts from the backline ,i hate to say this but we might need koutafides to hold a major position in defence he is the only good player that can fill that spot,we need whitnal up forward. lappin might have problems, and we sure miss

If you were a true carlton supporter you would have known that the problems are in the forward line not the backline.
They also know how to spell Silvagni and McKay!:rolleyes:

why didn't McKay start on Hall ?
Manton gave away height, reach and body weight and as good as I think Manton is, he was always gonna struggle against Hall.
Beaumont was no better - you really should have started your biggest and best defender (McKay imho) on our most dangerous forward.
We had 3 on the board before Manton knew what hit him - you were always gonna struggle after that opening

i never thought of mckay as a big boy? i though beaumont did a very good job on hall....?!? once he went on him he only got 2 goals or something? and even that he couldn't do anything about it

Not a bad idea if we wanted a player with one season left that would probably spend half the season struggling with hamstring injuries. Our loss I guess ....
