2 gun key forwards, who have done well in the past weeks and years. Who would you rather on your team and who do you consider the best?

Raskolnikov

At the moment Fev, over their career Lloyd.

I think Fev is more likely to turn a game than Lloyd but Lloyd is the more consistant performer.

FWIW I agree with Raskolnikov.

Fev is an unbelievable FF. He is the ultimate power athlete. Terrible at endurance events, but no-one beats Fev over 10-20m. His speed is blistering, and he has the capability of marking overhead at top-pace. His comfortable kicking range is 55m to 65m. Fev understands the various FB's tactics, and knows how to exploit each of them. He's also used to having 3-4 players on him at one time, and is still capable of kicking a bag. His skills at ground level are just elite. He is the best FF in the AFL by a long long way. With the Blues abundance of midfield talent, his goal output is going to increase a lot more. :)

Definately the best FF in the game right now... but not as far as you put it. I'm still sure Lloyd has a few gears to go up and hopefully we will see this in the coming weeks.

i am a Carlton supporter so might be biased but went last week and Fev got his 8 through strong grabs and great kicking while lloyd got his 5 by handballs over the top and running into space when his man attacked the ball and missed it. I think lloyd might be still getting over not playing for a while and will improve but no-one is near Fev as a FF

If Fev wasn't such a headcase he'd be one of the all time greats.

Strong hands, quick, monster kick . . . he has it all . . . except brains.

Guess you can't have everything but I'd still take him over Lloyd.

Now - Fev

Over the course of their careers - Lloyd easily

Stupid thread when you ask two distinct questions with one poll and each question has an obvious answer.

Anyone would rather have Fevola now because he is younger. Matthew Lloyd is going to finish his career probably 5-8th in the all time highest goalkickers. Fevola will have a good career but it wont on the same level as Matthew Lloyd.

If i had to have one in my team now for a single game. Now thats a good thread question. Lloyd has played well in every game this year. Fevola hasn't but absolutely dominated a game which Lloyd hasnt. I'd probably take Lloyd for pure consistency and the fact that Lloyd has had people to support him and had other options up forward which have taken away the 'glory' if you will (ie lucas), where as Fevola is Carltons go-to man.

A shame he didn't kick off after his bag in THAT pre-season game. He started his push as a good FF in 2003, and then a great FF last year. Lots of wasted years prior to 2003 though, it was in combination his attitude and the coaching (Brittain always benched him even when he was looking good) but for the most part Fev's mind was somewhere else.

Lloyd had a head start on him but even early on Lloyd was producing, whereas Fev wasted it in his first few years.
