Wojinski seems to have come along well and he can play the Mcleod role once his foot skills keep improving.

Not 100% sure about the other criteria but totally convinced about the ones highlighted.

BRAINS:eek:
Heart. This team does not play with enough heart. They don;t want it enough......
IMO the players we have are good enough, although they need to get brains as has been said and back themselves to go long, aswell as backing there teammates can take a grab!
Also they need heart, some have it, others do not!
NUMBER ONE THO they need a new coach!
and bring SJ back straight away, which i believe they will do in a few weeks

The biggest problems this week were stupid mistakes and skill errors. I saw SO many fumbles, it was ridiculous. You can't coach that out of players (as far as I know, could be wrong). There were definitely players that played with heart, but there were also a lot that didn't man up and didn't attack the ball like the horks.
So mistakes and fumbles led to loss of confidence and loss of confidence is a killer.
Having said that, the horks looked a bit better than us today, not a whole lot though. THey also made a lot of mistakes but ran away with it.

It's not heart...our players are stupid ...they need brains...

BINGO AGAIN!!
We won't win contested footy / refuse to run and pick up opponents. This is a leadership & Coach issue.
Don't worry about premierships...lets just see if we can win next week
We are a good side in every way except one. We can't win the ball out of the middle, we need a midfeilder that can win clearances. Hawthorn are one of the best clearance sides in the league and that is why they smash us every time.
All of our scoring oportunities seem to start from our backline because we can't win it out of the middle.

Couldn't have put it better myself, we miss a tough in and under player (Brent Moloney?). We must win the clearances or at least break even in this department. If we had a Daniel Kerr we would be very hard to beat in the middle. Is Ice cheaper in Geelong as opposed to Perth?

we don't seem to be able to win clearances particularly off our own ruck taps - a good lesson can be found watching the Lade to Burgoyne on the w'end. maybe ling really is not 'sharp' enuff to be in there?

When did we last have this sort of combination? Too long ago to remember for most! It's no good expecting Jnr to do this job - "Hasn't quite got the engine " to quote Professor Walls - and he is successful at what he is doing. I wish we had a few more players with his commitment - never gives up, ever! I'm increasingly impressed with Blake but we certainly are missing the quick clearances.
Hell - yesterday's game annoyed me! It was the "We've won 2 games and are home mentality" - we are no certainties for the next two!:(
