Would someone please post a synopsis of tonight's program that I've been reading about and others please post opinions on the program from a Bulldog point of view. I know the program will be written about on the main footy board, but I want to hear the opinions of those of us Doggie supporters who are most affected by what is presented. Thanks.

Even better, here's the link to the program's on-line presence. Check it tomorrow for the downloadable transcripts, Chicago.

Thanks, bulldogs 1. I didn't know that you could download the program's transcripts. I guess I'll have a bit of reading to do Monday afternoon, our time. I look forward to your opinions on what is presented.
I posted a thread on the main board seeking views of suppotrers of both strong and endangered clubs.
Will be interesting to see if we and the Roos are on our own.

Yes, I replied to that, thanks DR. Let's see if the Collingwood faithful come out and support El Presidente now, LOL. Conflict, what conflict?Originally posted by Dry Rot

I haven't seen the show but I am interested in hearing what it said exactly and also the light they were throwing on it.
Did it come across with any bias? Did the report seem to suggest that the Roos and the Dogs should merge? Or did it suggest that there could be light at the end of the tunnel for us in some way? (i.e. the AFL actually giving the money from Waverley... )

No light at the end of the tunnel. :( In fact they seemed to be pushing for two teams (guess which ones) to move interstate. The favoured four want to keep their millions to themselves (we've got $5 mill in reserve, says Essendon pres smugly).
Jackson dodged and twisted and the more he did it, the more he looked like the puppet that he is. He couldn't see any COI in Eddie's Pies presidency/commentating/media ownership, even though Eddie's own lawyer was used in the media deal....
But getting back to our teams, much was made of our low membership and financial problems, and how higher player payments which the players' association, led by Brendan Gale (why couldn't we have a Bulldog pres of the PA?), are pushing for and expect to get, will ultimately price us out of the market.
On a lighter note, the reporter asked David Smorgon if the Chris Grant affair had hurt the club, and Smorgo said, "Not the Chris Grant affair - the Chris Grant neck!" ;)
