Always by Bon Jovi.
I only want to cry when I watch the clip.

But I love the emotion & despair that comes across in the vocals and it reminds me of something incredibly personal.

OMG, me too! That song is so beautiful...*sighs* :( It's my song for a guy I can't be with...story of my life hey!

"Hero" and "Escape" by Enrique Iglesias, "Yellow" by Coldplay, and "Everything" by Lifehouse all get me in the miserable state as well! :( And for the same reasons as "Always", but not the same guy!

Ash...ya still hooked up on him? :(

To the people who are just stirring up **** in this thread, well, if you don't take this thread seriously then don't post.

A song that I always hated but now makes me cry

"I don't want to miss a thing" by Aerosmith. The most wonderful guy I've ever known sang it to me one night and I let him go, and I've regretted it for too long. But that song still makes me cry, cos now it's me who misses him.

Your winter - sister hazel.
Yellow - Coldplay
The Weakness in me - Joan Armtrading (You know from 10 things soundtrack)
Fade into you - Mazzy Star
Georgie Girl - The Seekers (I'm weird, I know)
Bookends- Simon and Garfunkel.

"And the band played waltzing matilda" by whoever. I am over emotional sometimes.

Head over Feet by Alannis Morrisette

Atomspheres / Joy Division

- a favourite song anyway, but when I heard it at a mates funeral (a Suicide) I broke down and wept.

Ode to Joy / Beethoven

Can make you cry, although its a very uplifting piece of music.

The River / Bruce Springstein

a beautiful ballard and a working class anthem.

Tomorrow / silverchair

an enduring classic, destined to be played at lots of GenXer funerals in coming years.

Jesus joy of mans desire / JS Bach

tugs at the heartstrings simply because its such a beautiful piece of music.

Seigfreids Funeral March / Wagner

In all the turgid mass of Wagner's music, this short piece has real emotional impact, stunning.

thats all I can think of now, but there is more out there

cheers

Wasn't this playing when EJ did his final lap of honour?
The song itself does nothing for me but when heard in conjunction with that footage I tear up pretty quickly.

U2 - With or Without You, as someone said previously because of a broken relationship.

Devo - Whip It. It doesn't make me cry, but that was the song played at our final year 12 assembly, and it holds very dear memories for me.

I can see clearly now by Jimmy Cliff becasue it's played at the end of Cool Runnings and I cried at that movie.

Bound for Glory by Angry - played at the start of the 90 grand final tape, has a clip of Millane getting his thumb taped up, that bit gets me going.
