Goodes , shoulder , should not have played on ,the coach kept him on ,,stupid
Abbott , leg
Kennelly, knee , looks serious

Hall and Goodes MAY be looked at by the match review committee for incidents re opposition players .
Hall late spoil on a player and connected to his head .may get off
Goodes hit a player with elbow after the event ,may get a week .
I would be surprised if Goodes , Abbott and Kennelly play next week or so .You seem to get over injuries very quickly.

I'm very concerned for Tadhg. His injury is the worst. He dislocated his knee cap and never played afterwards.

Ablett hyperextended his knee. His leg looked like jelly as it bent backwards! Stretched his knee over 180 degrees! PAINFUL! His hyperextension looks more serious than Hall's back in round 2.

:(:(:(:(

Goodes may be in trouble, though there was no elbow, he gave Rivers a shoulder aftet the event, after Rivers had tried out his damaged shoulder in the third quater while the ball was out of bounds.

Did you see Tadhg singing the Swans song? He looked so unhappy but forced a smile. I feel horrible for both too! :thumbsd:

You're kidding me right? Hall has no case to answer, and Goodes will be unlucky if he gets a week, though a week wouldn't be too bad considering he needs a rest anyway.

I don't remember anything serious regarding Hall...

Goodes does need a rest, but with a clean record he might end up with a reprimand.

Nothing wrong with the tackle. Just grabbed his jumper and legs got tangled.
Don't know why panic has set in. Unless Kennelly has got ligament damage he might only miss a couple. I would suggest you too would be unhappy if you had the same pain.Cant say that I saw Ablett on crutches.

5 knee injuries in 4 weeks? Dempster, Hall, Buchanan, Ablett and Tadhg. Did someone smash a mirror or something?

I avoided the media last night. Couldn't face hearing if Tiger had done his knee and was gone for the season. Now I read he may play next week? And with Hall and Amon both okay too, is it out of the question to give my 5 votes this week to the medical staff at Sydney? :thumbsu:

Could be less.

I think we're just gonna have to wait and see.

Hope not. They're still talking about him possibly being a chance to play this week. The club cited Cressa as an example of a player who badly dislocated his knee and played the following week (twice, too!!). He won't. Or probably shouldn't play. Let's get that straight. But he "might".

Ablett also apparently didn't dmage his knee as badly as thought. But scans will be done today on both of them, so fingers crossed.

Depends what paper you read.

Age: 3 weeks
Heraldsun: Could play next week
Australian: 6-8 weeks, but hopefully only 4 weeks

I know which paper I'd rather believe. :D

Ditto on which paper I rather believe, but better to have him at 100% than do any further damage.

If 6 weeks brings the tiger back fully fit and firing, then I say give the man 6 weeks. If he comes back half fit after 3 weeks, he will be doing the club and us, the fans, an injustice. We need a firing tiger!!!!

agree 100% rather cover him for 6 weeks and give a young guy than risk losing him for the important part of the year.

Just on the topic of injuries for your club.... is Barry HALL carrying an injury?

Will he see out the season or will he be a week to week situation depending how he pulls up.

Just seems to have a few niggles? Anyone know the situation?

He did injure himself a few weeks ago but did not miss. It seems he was carrying the injury and I have no doubt he is still a little, but seemed to move better on the weekend.

Don't know where you are getting that from. Everyone is saying 4-6 weeks.

It's time to give Laidlaw a run. He would be the most likely replacement for Tadhg IMO.

Unless the Irish media somehow has better insight into the Swans' medical situation than the local media (not to mention the coach), not sure where you get that from.

The official diagnosis is reported to be a grade 2 tear to his medial ligament - not great news but could be a whole lot worse.

Hmm. Well lets hope that you are just the victim of the chinese whispers effect where everything got exaggerated when it was filtered through your cousin when he passed on the news to you. He hadn't even had a scan on the weekend, so no one could really know, not even Tadhg.

I'm hoping this was after his cousin had been out drinking a few after a solid swans win.

I don't think the Swans would have any reason to be sugar coating this. If they knew he was going to be out for the season they would say it.

Tadhg is a huge loss for us, for sure. But I'm actually quite confident that our depth is a lot deeper than some give us credit for. We have regularly lost crucial players over the last couple of years (granted for short periods, mostly) and powered on.

Schneider, Mal, Crouch, Leo, Bolton, and Teddy can all give us drive for that first kick or two off the backline. And with Amon coming back too, we'll still have some flexibility and the odd bit of pace to burn.
