Two games at Colonial and 2 losses. This so called speed problem that Wallace spoke about towards the end of last season I believe is still affecting us.
Maybe Wallace should have kept this to himself, as we have been exploited in this area so far this season? Players like Macleod, Burton, Pickett, Harvey, King have run us off our legs.

I know Murphy and Eagleton are no slouches but haven't played yet.
No offence but players like Libba, West, Bartlett, Dimma aren't in the side because of their excessive pace.

Is its just me? It’s hard to see positives when you lose games you should win.
Is it early to tell?

IMO we are extremely quick. When we got the ball in the open on saturday we ran rings around them with our pace and played on at every opportunity. The players that have killed us so far are more a case of us not having a suitable tag or match up for them and besides they are all top class players. The majority of our speedsters are attacking players so those types of players are always going to have an impact against us.Yes we have lost 2 from 2 but we could very very easily have won 2 from 2.Our use of the ball is still a bit below where I would like it.BTW is it just me or is Mcmahon not as good a kick as you thoughthe was?

Pfffft, we are the quickest team in the league, but speed is a problem for us?

Think about it this way

McMahon
Rusca
Robbins
Johnson
Smith
Bandy

Those 6 can all run the 100 in under 11.98 seconds. How is that not quick?

Wallace said first not me.
Maybe its more that we have too many slow over the ground blokes. Eg Libba, West, Bartlett, Dimma, Kretiuk, etc

From last year take out Bandy and Rusca and add Romero, Contessa, Cox, Dooley to that list.

Wallace stated that he believed we lost 8 out of ? games last year at Colonial becuase we were slow.

I was wondering if still applies to this year for the 2 losses at Colonial?

I think lack of hardness & concentration (silly mistakes) are more a problem than a lack of speed.

We have the quickest key backman in the AFL

Just thought I should remind people of that :)

Problem was he kept dropping the ball!
His form was pretty good during the Wizard Cup. He has dropped a bit the last two weeks, Probably due to the knock/injury v Adelaide.

At least one of the 4 that are mentioned throughout wont be a problem...

Kretta's calf flare up is likely to put him out of this weeks match again...

Same old same old - Kretta will be lucky to put together 8 games all year, and lucky to string more than 2 at a time...

Atleast he looked like he was going to have a good year...
