He is the future #1 batsman in world cricket.
145 from 128 balls for the Western Australian Second XI against the touring South Africans in December 2005.
Then 101 not out against England in their tour match at the WACA on 9th December 2006.
He Hadnt even played a first class game yet & allready had 2 centurys in 2 games against top class international teams. Thats simply astonishing. Must be some kind of record.

Probably giving him another season for Warriors as he has almost cemented himself in their lineup. Very very talented batsman, look for a contract the following year after he scores 100 runs for Warriors this season IMO.

future #1 hey
he is an gun rooster, you will jump on the bandwagon soon enough. He has played first class cricket  he played about 4 matches i think.. he was unlucky to miss the pura semi-final (for WA) as he got hit by a car.
stats are
FC
4 matches
202 runs @ 34
OD
7 matches
192 @ 38
dont do him justice really, on debut he made dual 50s and won us the match agaisnt tassie..
I remember a Michael Clarke being selected in the Australian team more on potential than stats, so very true that stats don't always show the batsmans real ability.

yep he's a gun alright
just hope he sorts himself out mentally and can dominate this season
still only young and will definitely play for australia in the future
Plenty of time for him to earn his cap. Give him a couple of seasons in the Pura Cup to show what he's got and then call him up when he proves that he's amongst the 5 or 6 best batters in the country.

While I have no doubt that L. Pom will be a player fo the future, I'm also the potential that they saw in Clarke was a lot more than 11 game total for your state.
Will no doubt see the ElPom mentioned as a star in the future

Lets just hope he turns up to training on time in the future.

Yeah from what i've heard the kid has real attitude problems and is a real grog monster as well
Talented but needs to get his off field issues in check

He does play for GosnellsCC, will be the first Test player produced by the club.
Same reason Cosgrove didn't get one last year

Because England complained saying " We would not like a player with a last name sounding like Pommy Bash. It will be very embarassing if he destroys us."

I raised an eyebrow when Pomers missed out on a contract but he is not gonna miss out next time is he.
FC ave - 63.09 & SR - 77.80
This season FC ave - 97.60 & SR - 82.85
No player has really come close to getting the amount of runs he has at the speed he has got them.
& of course he has now allready made his first international step. His romp towards world domination has now started.

The main thing that will hold him back will be his off field habits, otherwise a deadset gun :thumbsu:

Ah, that makes me proud cause I played district cricket for Gosnells a couple years ago and im still playing club cricket there. It was always fun crossing the road after my game to the other oval where the first grade match was on and watching Pomersbach dominate the bowling.
Lets just hope his attitude improves a bit and he'll definately making it a long way.

Would be nice to see another younger batsman join the list of contracted players. I hope Heal from WA gets a contract too.

For someone that hits the ball so hard and far and is such a devastating batsmen he has a very solid technique and has a good batting temperament (eg. saving us against Tasmania early in his career and not being overawed against international sides at a very young age).

Gilly is impressed with pomers thats for sure. Otherwise he would not have said this about him.
"He's got immense power. I've really enjoyed playing with him," the Australian vice-captain said.
"You can see he's learning all the time, innings by innings, game by game. He looks the absolute blueprint of the modern day cricketer - athletic, powerful, hard-hitting and with a good temperament. It just seems like he's going to get a hundred every time he bats. I'm sure the selectors are very aware of who he is."
Gilchrist claimed selector David Boon was impressed with Pomersbach's century against Queensland. "It was an amazing innings," said the keeper, who has played a few of his own for WA and Australia over the years.
Gilchrist believes that Pomersbach's suspension is another valuable part of his development.
"He learnt a great deal under Tim Nielsen at the national academy but he's still got a lot to learn and it's up to him to do it," Gilchrist said. "He has to learn to make the right decisions, particularly around cricket time.
"There are policies in place which everyone has to adhere to. I've made it clear to him that I'm keen to be part of his development. I'm keen to stay in touch."
