That one is far more believable - even predictable - than your last scoop (even though that one proved to be correct too!!)

Have they already ruled either Ablett or Monty out of this weekend's game? Or both? And is Laidlaw a chance to debut too? (though I'm guessing that will depend on the question above).

Great news. Good luck to the lad - after being unfairly thrown into the media spotlight for the equivalent of talking during class, I hope it will be the first of many games. :)

If there is to be just one change at this stage, they must reckon Ablett is OK to play but Monty's not. I'd have guessed it to be the other way around, though I did wonder during the Crows game whether Buchanan was carrying some other minor injury into the game.

I'm really excited about this kid getting a game. I hope he shines in his early AFL matches, around 10 possies and i'll be satisfied, maybe a goal too?

It would be a bit of a faity tale if Jack does get a run on the weekend. However,I think Laidlaw must be first in line,if not he will be wondering what he has to do to get a game.
On the other hand,I can understand the selectors considering Jack as he has pace and runs the lines a la Kennelly.
Will be an interesting night at selection.

Roos has said not. Quotes in papers confirm that Jack is definitely next in line. Roos puts it down to him being the most versatile of those pushing for selection.

Versitile? More like he tackles and scraps like a rabid dog. Perfect Swans player.

How can I not put $5 on Jack to be the first goal scorer on the weekend, in honor of the big time punter :p.

Fits our game plan to perfection IMO.

Well done to him.

Ablett wont play.

From what we are hearing, Ablett is very likely to play and Monty not.

If Monty doesn't then Moore will come in.

Looking at the EMG's I reckon that's probably right on the money.

Really looking forward to this debut. And have to agree grimlock's pick of Cracker as a nickname sounds pretty good to me. Anyone know what it actually is?

I'll just shutup then:o Isn't it risky playing Ablett so soon? he looked in real bad shape after the last match.

He did didn't he? But watching the game again, the pain seemed to dissipate fairly quickly. So if the swelling was manageable, I guess it must be no different to Hall's situation. Of course it will still mean he'll be playing with a bit of discomfort.

Maybe he'll move in with them one day!
