Don't know if any of you saw it on Talking Footy last night, but it was mentioned if Hird would line up on Voss. Wouldn't you love to see it. I honestly think that Voss would beat Hird even if Hird was at his best.

Umm ... actually I would like to see Brad Scott on him
Just think back to the Grand Final. ;)
I know James Hird wasn't fit in the Final ... but did a great job on him.
cheers ... Kaz

Can't see it happening really as they play quite different games, and neither team can afford the opposition's star to get too much of the ball. One of the Scotts will take Hird, I suspect.

It is likely Brad Scott will line up on him because he did a good job last time, but Sheedy did say "All it takes is a phonecall". Just for 20 minutes would be great to see one superstar (Voss) and one built up by the media 'superstar' (Hird) go head to head.

I reckon Hirdy would win the battle if either in defense or attack. Voss might (and thats a big might) have the upper hand if playing on the ball. Hirdy has played defensive in his time - he played on Gary Ablett from memory a couple of times - so i reckon Hird could match Voss in the Lions forward line. I don't think Voss is as defensive as Hird can be.
