View Full Version : McPhee Over-rated
always right

Is Adam McPhee too concerned about his appearance than his performance? Spends half the time worried about his hair rather than stopping his opponent. Essendon supporters rate him far too highly for my liking. I think he's more style than substance.
Am I too harsh?

i have said for some time - THE worst AA player EVER
He can play good football, but needs to pay closer attention to his man, rather than finding space.

Maybe because he was injured for most of the year :rolleyes:
One of the best half back flankers in the league. Agree with wazzabp in that he needs to pay closer attention to his man.

He looks like a tool, but when you can play like he can it doesn't matter.
He can't take major forwards (read Buddy yesterday), but as a third man up, or in front of a key forward, he is a fantastic player.

No you are spot on....not only is he a sheet player but has the looks to chase a hungry dog out of a butcher shop...

Who was that commentator a couple of years ago who said he thought McPhee was the smoothest mover in the game, and all of his fellow commentators laughed at him for the rest of the match? ;)

McPhee is a super player, given the right matchup. Yesterday is no indication as he was expected to beat a superstar and give away a height, weight and speed advantage.

Buddy was pushed closer to super stardom yesterday before then, he was a kid who was going to be a super star.

Although I don't agree with you on your assessment of his footballing skills...the last part of your post cracked me up!!
McPhee's had a couple of injury interrupted seasons recently but he's slowly getting back into form and I reckon he's actually been one of our better players this season.
2nd ugliest player in the AFL.
Sorry Ling :P
