View Full Version : new sanfl website
www.footysa.com
launched a few weeks ago, this site offers comprehensive up to date news and results. there is also areas where anyone can post there comments. it has a very attractive layout and hopefully with a bit of support from sanfl enthusiasts, this site will remain running for a long time.

Wow, what a great site. Cruds all over the official SANFL site.
Good work, whoever it is that put it together.

Definitely dumps on the official SANFL site. I wonder how long before the SANFL close it down. About 6 years ago some dude ran an SANFL site, the SANFL threatened him repeatedly for using logos of the league and the club.. and the SANFL didn't even have a site then.
Promotion is not the SANFLs priority unless it involves the Crows or Power.

if the SANFL were smart (which they often are not) they would employ whoever does the FootySA site, and merge this site into the official SANFL site.
I mean, how much could it cost them?

You mean Dave Perkovic?
I bumped into him at the Glenelg-Norwood match a couple of weeks back. He's a red-hot Norwood fan, goes to almost all of their games.
He did a great job posting SANFL results on the internet newsgroups for a few years as well as his web site. Pity the SANFL couldn't see it as free publicity. IIRC he was forbidden to use the logo or the term SANFL, though they couldn't stop him from posting results.
I oughta ask him to have a look at this board, we need a few Norwood fans... :)

Thats the dude. I remember making up a Norwood logo jpeg for his site.
Shame he got shat on by the league, they need all the publicity they can get.

Great site - surely it'll get shut down.
Just wanted to see how the Magpies were going (well as usual).
But why have the Pies and Norf only played two games? Can someone give me a reason??

Gret site, I like it. I never really did like the SANFL site, and being an old Adelaide boy now in the west, I like to keep an eye on the Magpies over there.
Is there a decent site available that has more history on the SANFL?
www.sanfl.com.au (http://www.sanfl.com.au) is ok for the past history of the SANFL, no complaints from me anyway.
