Finally...We have a membership figure!!

You will see we have hit 36,500 members so far for 2007. To tell you the truth im a little dissapointed with this figure i would have thought we would be closer to 40,000 mark after last years performance.

The doom and gloom from the football 'experts' and horrible exist from the finals may have turned a few away.....they will regret it as the season roles on and the pies play in massive games at the G pretty much every week tho!

The media are great. They are finally seeing how good we are.

Monday's Herald Sun, Mike Sheehan pumped us up. Monday's Age, Tim Lane had his say, another positive article. Most suprising though, Tuesday's Age Robert Walls, yes, Robert Walls has an article singing the praises of our young players.


The media are waking up to themselves and seeing they have sold us short.

Too late losers, whatever happens I don't think we will finish 13th, only 1 pundit had us top 8 pre season! What annoys me isn't that they had us around 13, but that there was no good reason to do that. Our list of young players is at least as good as Hawthorns and our older players have forgotten more about playing good footy than half the teams in the AFL.
