according to ABC radio, WAs Tim Macdonald has signed with Tasmania

quite a puzzling decision IMO

im sure if he stayed with us he would have got plenty of opportunities with our dearth of pace bowlers

Seems an odd thing to do. If he can't break into an attack of Dorey/Magoffin/Edo/Bandy he's got no chance of knocking out one of Griffith/Geeves/Hilfenhaus/Wright or Butterworth.

....Or Drew, Duval (if he stays), Polkinghorne....

I reckon he is coming down for the weather...

I honestly have no clue why Tas would want to sign any interstate players (especially bowlers) with the amount of talent we have here at the moment. Hopefully it doesn't mean a talented young Tasmanian misses out on a contract and goes elsewhere... We have already lost our best u19 player (Wade), we don't want to go losing more...

Hilf won't play for Tassie next season so there's one less to worry about.

Hilfy will play until x-mas since there's not much cricket being played. The way the selectors go they'll probably pick an attack of Lee/Tait/Johnson and Watson so he could almost play the whole season for Tassie.

Very good bowler, WArriors should have given him more chances after leading the grade cricket wicket takers 2 years in a row.

Aside from Dorey he was probably the only genuine WA quick bowler worthy of State selection. Guess we can recruit a few more 3rd string Queenlanders.

Idiots!!!
