Scotch are the most overrated team in the aps. With no Junior rioli they will get slaughtered each week. just beat melbourne grammar but only becuase grammar got cramps all over the ground and didnt have enough run and just fell short. And then they got smashed by brighton - dominated by a year 10. How much worse can they get????????????????????

rotating forward, i actually agree with you. they are overrated. shows how much of a one man side they are without junior. can't even beat a year 10 kid...from brighton!

they were lucky against mgs. for some, just wasnt their day. too many cramps too. hopefully shaw pulls out the dukes next time

We will see when Scotch start stringing together some wins.
Brighton are a fit young side and Scotch had several injuries.
Scotch aren't out of it. I think they can beat Xavier in two weeks and that will put them right back in the mix!

Scotch will not beat Xavier. The Xavs had their first full side for the season other than the Assumption game and they absolutely trounced GC by 70-odd points, when one noob was predicting a 50-point win in Geelong's favour! Our back-line needs a little tightening up, but with Noonan down back they've got nothing to worry about. However i don't think it's fair to call Scotch a bunch of hacks, they've got a proud history and will give Xavier a fair run for their money. Will be a top game

Yeah wouldn't call them hacks, Im sure they will be more than competitive against the top sides.
And saying they were dominated by a year 10 is an insult to that player, if he's a gun, hes a gun no matter what his age. Rioli was in the ones when he was in yr 10 wasn't he?

i dont think you count them out for the season, they are 1-1 and still have a list that are big and can play a skillful brand of the game. Obviously they didnt bring ther A-Game, to use a basketball term, on Saturday but i cant see them being beaten by much, if at all again this season.

What more of a motoviation can a team with a repuation and predictions like Scotch have. THe real test will be in the next two games, regardless of who they play. Whether they come out like a team who wants to be in premiership race come the end of the season, or a team that has given up or looking for excuses.

How will they react? this round will tell us alot about who is going to be ther at the end of the season.

Did Scotch have players missing for reasons other than injuries? Apparently Scotch's two gun basketballers were involved in a SAT test. Did this affect the football?

an excellent point; as a former bgs boy myself i can clearly remember us being mauled by rioli when he was younger, and, casting my mind even further back, years ago, in the final round of the season when bgs and xavs were both undefeated and scheduled to play in the final round, a young 16 year old by the name of luke ball managed to rack up 30+ touches and totally break our hearts, so age doesn't necessarily matter.
I definately think that it's harsh to write off a school like scotch, not only because of their impressive history in school footy, which can't be denied by anybody in the aps, but also because they do have a good list this year, and, whilst it may not have the stars it once did, still has plenty of ability, and will certainly challenge many sides

Well if your looking for players far beyond that quality, then check out number 7 from Carey! Hands down the best player in junior footy today, and a man who will easily make the transition to AFL, in Haslam! He has that special ability to take a game by his own hands and kick 5 goals whilst still racking up 40 possesions! The man with the ability to take control of the APS and shake it up in a big way, making you think who are these weak poofters, next time you watch a game of afl! Scotch may be able to 'challenge' certain other APS sides, but just wait till they get smashed by Carey, and dominated by one player alone!
