I like!
I have heard a little rumour St Pierre may actually be fighting Koscheck on this card. I guess we will have to wait and see.
Yep, St Piere v Kos is go, and odds are out!
Randy $2.05
Gonzaga $1.69
St Pierre $1.59
Koscheck $2.30
Hmm, Randy the dog.
I am big on St Pierre here!!! He will shorten and shorten, I reckon all the way until Kos is about $3 I reckon.

Yeah I feel he'll beat Randy, but I'm rooting for The Natural. Gonzaga is a gun.
And I cant wait for GSP to smash Kos.
Lutter better make weight this time :D

Rooting? What are you, a Sepo?
I reckon if there's one thing i've learned this year it is never underestimate the great man. I must admit i dont know much about Gonzaga but wasn't he known as a just a bjj guy before he high kicked cc? If that was a freak kick then Randy's in with a real show, he'll stand with him, grapple, sweep, then do the old gnp job on him. Gonzaga aint that big either.
Shut up drew!
I'm pretty sure gonzaga is a big fella. At least as big as Randy. Randy is probably stronger though. Randy will be definately wanting this to stay on the feet, and although Randy is no slouch on the ground, Gonzaga would have the advantage there.
if I remember when they were next to each other after Gonz KO'd CC, he looked significantly bigger than Randy. Hard to tell though, but Randy was in a suit and still looked smaller.

Hope Aurelio does well. Although Sherk and BJ are on another level. He would be the number 3 LW in the UFC imo, although theres still some other pride guys who could come and beat him.

Final fight card (from ufcjunkie.com)
Randy Couture vs. Gabriel Gonzaga
Georges St. Pierre vs. Josh Koscheck
Patrick Cote vs. Kendall Grove
Joe Stevenson vs. Kurt Pellegrino
David Heath vs. Renato “Babalu” Sobral
Alberto Crane vs. Roger Huerta
Antoni Hardonk vs. Frank Mir
Marcus Aurelio vs. Clay Guida
Ryan Jensen vs. Travis Lutter
Yeah, I'm a bit disappointed though that Guida/Aurelio and Mir/Hardonk are only prelim fights. Hopefully a couple of the main card fights are over quickly.
yeah I hate not seeing the prelim fights :(
I dont mind missing any Mir fight though.
Ok fellas it's THIS WEEKEND!
TIPS?
I'm going for this
Premilinary card
Middleweight bout: Thales Leites vs. Ryan Jensen - rd 2. submission
Lightweight bout: Marcus Aurelio vs. Clay Guida - rd 1. TKO
Heavyweight bout: Frank Mir vs Antoni Hardonk - Decision
Light heavyweight bout: Renato Sobral vs. David Heath - Decision
Main Card
Lightweight bout: Roger Huerta vs. Alberto Crane - Submission
Middleweight bout: Patrick Côté vs. Kendall Grove - Decision
Lightweight bout: Joe Stevenson vs. Kurt Pellegrino - TKO rd. 2
Welterweight bout: Georges St. Pierre vs. Josh Koscheck - TKO rd 2. (lets hope!)
Heavyweight championship bout: Randy Couture vs. Gabriel Gonzaga
The last two are real tough to call. I think GSP is an awesome fighter, but I seem to always underestimate Kos, and I think he'll have a gameplan to take down and lay and pray on GSP. GSP will be hungry though and I think if kos tries to stand with him, gsp will hurt him. GSP to put the standup punishment on and take it out like how he took out Hughes.
With Randy and Gonzaga, I'm tipping the upset. This is a bad matchup for Randy but he's a smart fighter and I think he'll want a 5 round war here. No one has really test Gabriels tank, so I think Randy will be avoiding submissions and keeping it standing or fighting from inside Gonzagas guard. If Gonzaga gets on top of randy it will be big trouble for him, so Randy will keep it standing, score points and work Gonzaga's cardio and take a 5 round decision.
This UFC should be great, can't wait!
I dont remember enough about some of these fighters but I think Mir will win by submission, I think Babalu will get knocked out again, I think Koscheck will beat GSP and I am scared to tip against the natural cause he's just such a frigging freak of nature. I'll also go for Cote by stoppage due to a cut, and I like Stevenson as a fighter so i'll go for him too.
Fuggin great card this i am really looking forward to it. Got the beerfridge on the patio chock full of homebrew and i'm gonna be neckin em like a hungry lizard.
Premilinary card
Middleweight bout: Thales Leites vs. Ryan Jensen - dunno
Lightweight bout: Marcus Aurelio vs. Clay Guida - rd 2 TKO
Heavyweight bout: Frank Mir vs Antoni Hardonk - Round 1 TKO
Light heavyweight bout: Renato Sobral vs. David Heath - Round 3 TKO
Main Card
Lightweight bout: Roger Huerta vs. Alberto Crane - Decision
Middleweight bout: Patrick Côté vs. Kendall Grove - sub rd 2
Lightweight bout: Joe Stevenson vs. Kurt Pellegrino - TKO rd 2
Welterweight bout: Georges St. Pierre vs. Josh Koscheck - Decision
Heavyweight championship bout: Randy Couture vs. Gabriel Gonzaga- Round 5 TKO
I'll predict Leites, Aurelio by submission, Mir by submission, Babalu by decision, Huerta by TKO, Grove, Stevenson and St. Pierre by TKO.
Apparently Gonzaga was horrified last week when he learnt that the bookmakers had made Randy the underdog. If he's actually worried about that then Couture will pull it off again.
thought i'd get on tonight and vent some butterflys. I dont know what is wrong with me but i'm starting to think of couture the same way i used to think of kernahan as a carlton supporter it was like a god status. Bit wierd hey. I think randy cant lose either way tomorrow even if gonzaga wins the fight the crowd (around the world) will stand and applaud a true warrior in the natural. Absolute certainty the crowd will chant randy randy before and during the fight. Fun times in MMA hey fucck yeah!
i gotta remember not to go on the net after drinking beer. that sounds ridiculous.

What an unbelievable fighter Randy is. Like Rogan said why does anyone ever doubt him. I don't know how much longer he can keep this up for, but he looked at the top of his game today and if people think Mirko or Nog will just walk through him they've got another thing coming. Frankly if Mirko had've been fighting tonight I think Randy would've taken him to the cleaners. What a champion.

Couture looked to be in better shaped than when he fought Sylvia. He got a bit lucky by breaking Gonzaga's nose, but was so methodical it was ridiculous.
Absorbed a couple of shots that would probably have put others on the floor I reckon.
St Pierre is back in business too. Look forward to seeing him regain the belt.
Great UFC overall.
Yeah GSP really controlled the fight and here i was thinking Koscheck had the superior core strength and wrestling ability, and GSP nailed him at it.
Kos not totally disgraced though, he'll come back strong and may be GSP's #1 challenger should he manage to win back the belt.
I thought the fight with GSP proved what Kos really was.
An athlete with great wrestling ability, some standup but unless he lays and prays on you, his is not much chop. GSP is on another level totally that Koscheck. Bigger, stronger, faster, better hands, better kicks, smarter, way better on the ground, and can match him for takedowns. Hughes would also dominate Koscheck.
It was awesome that Randy won, but I agree it was a good fortune for that broken nose early to Gonzaga.
A prime Mirko and prime Randy would be an awesome fight, and I agree, I'd almost give Randy the edge just due to him putting Mirko out of his comfort zone and into Randy's.
Good UFC overall.
Watched the show as well as the unaired prelims last night. Gonzaga appeared to be overawed mentally by the occasion, although the broken nose couldn't have helped. What's next for Randy? Hopefully the UFC can get Fedor before the year is out.
GSP outwrestling Koscheck was a surprise, although I guess the threat of strikes in MMA is enough to make a difference between collegiate wrestling and wrestling in MMA. Huerta's use of the big screen to throw elbows at Crane was pretty cool. Babalu vs. Heath was the prelim fight that caused the massive blood stain that was visible all night. Aurelio was disappointing against Guida, he looked tentative on his feet and was unable to use any BJJ on the ground.
