I think Essendon by 12

I am probably jinxing us badly here but I wouldn't be surprised if we blow it out by 8 - 9 goals.
I think Edwards is due a bag.

My footy coach goes for the roos, so I hope we win so I don't cop a mouthful. We are going in as underdogs this game, so my tip is we'll win by 20 odd. Surprise wins seem to be our specialty. I just hope Johns is fit for the game, especially with Lloyd out.

Lets be honest, two teams in similar positions in regards to their squads (young blood and old stagers)...but i just think the fact that really could have been (i certainly wont say should be) 5-1 can drive the players to get over the line in a close one tonight.
Big one against the bombers...just like the late 90's im hoping for.

I reckon the Roos can get over the line in this one. But Essendon will be pretty hungry after some disappointing results - that Carlton match sure has come back to bite them, they could have been 4-2. Then again the Roos should have beaten Port & Hawthorn...
Roos by 15.
me too, we used to beat you in the 90's:p ;)
Yes. From 1992-99 you beat us 4/11 times. ;)
Laidley to extend his perfect coaching record against Sheedy.
He's yet to drop a game to him and I can't see him doing it tonight.
<that win:loss record against Laidley must really piss Sheedy off:) >

I would've said we should've beaten Collingwood (and easily) and "could've" beaten Hawthorn. We certainly had opportunities but did our usual 1.4 goalkicking. Could've beaten Port but we would've stolen it if we did.

Essendon by 23 points
If we go in as hard as we have the last three weeks and our kicking for goal isn't shocking then I think we will win by 3 or 4 goals. It is by no means a certainty, we have a makeshift forward line and from time to time it is not going to work. Bombers have a good enough defensive lineup that might restrict our goal kicking, I think we will need a big contribution by Grant/Harvey/Wells/Campbell as I don't see a lot of goals coming from key position forwards.

im damn confident about this one, roos are way to slow. our speedsters like davey and winderlich will have a night out! bombers by 10 goals+

The commentators said it looks like the inside of his knee so is likely a medial ligament..
Who knows how long that could be, depending on the seriousness.
But i'd say if he's on crutches it doesn't look too good obviously.
Hope it's no more than 6
Although some players have managed to mis snot a lot of footy from medial ligaments..
