Finally watching it (it comes on at 11.45pm in Canberra) and he's good. A bit nervous which is understandable, but he seems natural.

Very impressed with his humour and articulation. Seemed less nervous than Davey who is 3 years his senior.

Agreed. At 19 I would have literally crapped my pants!

He's got no fear of the media/spotlight and his down to earth country boy sense of humour will stand him in good stead.

Should be good grooming for when he becomes Captain.

7/10

Looked a little nervous early but bounced back in style and set up a few goals. There's plenty upside to him.

Dale did well, I reckon he will be a regular from now on in.

That section with Eddie on, just quietly, may have been the most boring half an hour of tv I have ever watched. Of the target audience that the Footy Show has, how many do you think give a stuff about who the CEO of Collingwood is, and what effect it will have on Channel 9 in Melbourne?

It went on and on, the players weren't allowed to ask any questions, and I think it was Crawford that said that he wanted to ask a question about the three curfew boys.

When it was announced that we got Pert, my reaction was "Yay, I like Pert", I don't want to hear a half hour speel about the pros and cons and how it is McGuire's best day in football at the CFC, I just want to win a premiership, if my club is like the Gold Coast Roos off the field, I wouldn't give a shit, it would mean my membership would be cheaper and GF tickets would be easier to get hold of should we make it.

Well said Hoggy. I would've rather hear Ed clarify the position ONCE, and then move onto other areas.

Think Eddie over-reacted to a few media articles and a few bozo supporters on our message boards who bag everything

Think most realise it was a good signing
