My guess:

Goals:

P. Burgoyne 5.0
Tredrea 3.2

Shulz 3.2
Richardson 4.2

Possesions:

S.Burgoyne and K. Cornes 31

Foley 28

Average guns:

Burgoyne/Cornes brothers commit and play like the Colliers
Brogan will topple the ruck and be handy down back and forward.

Deledio will run nonstop with 25 possesions
Polaks hands will be full of superglue

verdict: Port by 4

Port 121 def Richmond 72

Crowd 29,567 @ AAMI Stadium.

It will be close, but Ports class will rise to the top in the Second half. Expect Richmond to come out firing in the first quarter but forget about everything in the second. IF richo plays ruck, the result will be even worse for Richmond.

Best for Port.. Shaun Burgoyne , Kane Crones , Danyle Pearce

Tredrea with 6.

Best for Richmond.. Deledio and Polak.

i've put money on richmond to get within 40 points of a win.

Not bad odds at $1.88

i've also put a few dollars on them to win.. just for a laugh.

Port 2.6 5.9 11.12 16.15 (111)
Rich 4.1 5.2 6.4 8.7 (55)

That's how I think things will pan out, Tigers to come out firing but slowly Port's class will rise to the top, and they'll run away with it in the second half.

I'm not feeling to confident about this game. Richmond pushed the reigning premiers, and they definately have the ability to play some good footy. Port will have to be on their game, and will hopefully go to 6 and 1.

Telecast is pretty dramatic, Richmond have copped a whoooole lot of crap over last week. In a perverse way, I take a little joy from that, even though they would be my 2nd fav side (by a fair margin :D )

Wow, how was that for lining up the mark...

How can they get that wrong? Bad signs umpiring wise already.

Tigers are going to come out breathing fire after last week, can they maintain this intensity for 4 quarters and keep up or overtake the Power. I think they might struggle. But don't underestimate the tigers.

34 to 21 Ports favour very late in the 1st.

Richmonds forward line is just not functioning.

the tigers forwards dont seem to be able to get free yet, the early goals to power are the difference.

1/4 time and so far so good. Have not been blown away but they can't drop off now after a even first quarter, need to keep fighting. Pressure is very good instead of witches hats game last week.

1/2 Time and a quarter in which the Tigers wasted their opportunities and Port made the most of theirs. WTF is going on with out manning up from kick outs. Motlop standing out on the wing on his own and time after time they kick to him and he just walks down the wing setting up easy entries into the F50.

Second half will tell a lot about where the Tigers are at. Fall away and get belted again and may as well give the game away. Show some fight and at least put up some resistence.

Then Tredders gets wrapped up in a tackle and given time to get the ball out. Be consistent at least.

tigers are headed for a hiding again, the kicking into the forward line hasnt been great, and they also missed some set shots at goals.

How the **ck was that not a push in the back to Pettifer. The umpiring towards the top sides in the AFL is now bordering on cheating!

Bit of a risk taker aren't we.

Well Port and Richmond are unpredictable so having a margin bet was too risky. Just went with the safest bet.

Oh yeah in that Multi i have Parra/Manly half/full time double (which happened last night) and Geelong 40+. (hardly safe bets)

What else you got? edit: seen it I had a multi of Kangaroos into Collingwood 40+ into Port into West Coast paying about 21.00.

Unfortunately the Pies didn't go on with it :thumbsd: And West Coast is a big risk anyway, so hopefully they lose.

Are you talking to me? If you are you do know the bet means who's winning at the end of half and full time..

BTW Deledio proved why he one of the best young prospects today. Has had a few knockers on this site saying he's over-rated but today he showed his worth IMO.

Pity the other 21 couldn't do the same. Kudos Brett, Kudos.

It can be hard to understand unless you've actually seen the rules of the bet yourself.

I went to the game today and even though I knew Richmond were beaten by 157 pts last week, I was still alarmed by how poor they played. If Richo is fit, then he needs to retire. He was far too slow and unwilling to make contests today. I thought he should have gone into defence on Lade to get him where the ball was. Richmond continue to play their most dangerous player Deledio in defence, and when he was "set free" in the second half did some very good things. Richmond had too many non-contributors as far as value to the team. Plenty of guys getting easy possessions but not getting anywhere.

Port Adelaide was okay, but that's it. If I were a Port supporter I'd be very worried about their game plan. They appear to base their game plan on players running free and east possessions. When they play West coast or Sydney, they may find they need to re-structure their game plan.

I very much doubt there going to have restructure their game plan against us right now,

Port are looking good and are playing in form intelligent football, Sydney are doing neither right now.

Their will be some acid tests soon though for Port to see if their back with the top few, I'm expecting them to pass.
