Can't see Kiwi and Murph being played in the same forward line with Pav and Taz already there though. Looks like those two are going to be locked in a shootout all season for the third tall forward spot. At least they bring different qualities to the team. As Rafa Benitez (Liverpool manager) is fond of saying - we have possibilities.
As much as I love Taz's contribution so far it does appear we have one tall forward too many at the moment. Competition for spots is never a bad thing I suppose. Interesting to see how it will pan out in the future though.

Murphy will have the same problem as Farmer, South Freo don't play the next 2 weeks (bye + state game).
If our midfield struggles this week we should bring in Murphy and Collard, and play Pav onball.

Murphy - if they want him to continue to "regain some form", might end up playing reserves for someone else next week... same with Thornton. Can't see Jeffrey having a run with a reserves team though...

Didn't think of that. How do they decide which reserves team they would play for?

I hadn't thought of that, but I think it would be a great idea for Farmer to play reserves. he is being punished. In fact i think he should ask to be played in the reserves as part of a demonstration that he has reformed himself.
Do I have any odds on that happening?

No idea how it works, or what criteria they use when allocating players to a different club for a week... I just know that it's common practice if there's a bloke who they want to play but their club has the bye - not that it happens a lot though...

I think they used to play for the reserves side on the bottom of the ladder. Not sure what they will do if Freo request that a few get a game though? Surely Thornton and Farmer should qualify, but I'm not sure about Murphy? Isn't it more for players coming back from injury?

At what point does the "punishment" beocme "humiliation"???
Jeffrey is not out of form (like Murphy), or returning from injury (like Thornton)... yes he does need some match fitness, but he'll have another 4 weeks before he's "welcomed back" to get that. There's no real need to play a reserves game to get him back up to scratch.
Thornton and Murphy are different stories altogether.

If Murphy and Thornton play reserves he might feel that he needs to aswell. Assuming all 3 would go to the same team, it would be a career highlight for the reserves players who line up on them.
