I don't want to be a tool or anything, but I noticed this on afl.com.au. Not too interested from a roos supporters point of view about Seaby although he is a good player, but I had never heard of the situation involving Darren Glass and his contract negotiations, and the way it has been reported, it seems as though the Eagles and himself have had negotiation problems. Is this true, and if so, what are your chances of keeping him, because I know nearly every team would be intersted in picking him up.

ACCORDING to the West Australian newspaper, contract negotiations between West Coast and ruckman Mark Seaby have stalled and will not be reactivated until later in the season.
The newspaper reported that the Eagles considered re-signing the 23-year-old as a priority, given the interest from a range of Melbourne clubs looking for a ruckman and the need for a quality back-up for All Australian big man Dean Cox.
In better news for West Coast, the West Australian said All Australian full-back Darren Glass was close to signing a new contract with the club.
The Herald Sun reported that former Brisbane Lions skipper Michael Voss would counsel ruckman Jamie Charman to stay at the club despite Richmond's public interest in recruiting him.
The newspaper said Voss would tell Charman that he had a chance to become one of the club's great players, and that a move to the Tigers would be a backward step.
Voss reportedly said Charman would be unwise to make money the sole factor in his decision, as should publicly declare his willingness to remain with the Lions so as not to destabilise the impressive young playing group.

That article seems to be suggesting that he's very likely to re-sign...

He'll stay
Just Seabs manager trying to get more money for his player.
Doesn't really appear to be any problem really.
Still only Round 7 after all. Plenty of time to sign him up

As surprising as it is given the content of that article, AGC was talking about Glass, not Seaby

Well moron, if you bothered to read the post, you would see that I clearly mentioned that it sounded like there were problems with negotiations. More often then not when they say "he was close to signing to signing a new contract" it means that contract negotiations might have stalled, and I was curious to see if this was true or not. Hence I came to the West Coast board looking for answers, and not "trolling." So, maybe we could try this again, and if you know anything about the situation if there is a situation, you could tell me about it. Is that ok?

Glass will stay, i have no doubt
Seaby is the more iffy of the two. The lure of walking into a team as their number one ruckman and not being in Dean Cox's shadow might entice him elsewhere. Hopefully he stays, and the lure of more premiership glory might be the carrot that gets him over the line

So from this you come to the conclusion that they're having trouble negotiating?
Amazing.
If I told you my microwave was working fine would you come to the conclusion that it was broken?

That's why I was asking. And in your example, why would you just tell me your microwave was broken. Possibly you just felt like telling me, but also, there is a big chance that you might have had a problem, be it minor, with this microwave. Same thing with the Glass case. I didn't know, which is why I ASKED. Is that so difficult to comprehend?
It may look like there was a minor problem. But from all evidence given, it's pretty obvious it's in good shape now.

Listen cockroach. Read what it says "in better news for the WC Glass is cloise to signing a new contract" That hardly seems like negoitiations have broken down.
You tried to link Glass' negotiations into Seaby's. Read the friggin article.

Seabs has more important things to be thinking about in October than getting used to a new club...he aint going anywhere let me assure you;)
Its a matter of when, not if Seaby will re-sign, just gotta get the details right:)

Ok, your obviously not the clever type, so I will try to spell this out nice and simply for you, so even you can comprehend it. All I asked was if there was ever some problem. If you look at the word CLOSE, (or as your have spelt it cloise) it means that there COULD POSSIBLY be some factor that is stopping Glass from signing a new contract, or else why wouldn't he have signed one, straight away? I never said that contract negotiations had broken down, or even if there was any problem, I was mearly asking "is there a problem"? And yes I did read the "friggen article" and no I DID NOT try to link the contract negotiations with Darren Glass with the negotiations between the Eagles and Mark Seaby.
Now, for the third time, I will ask you "Boy from the West" can you tell me if there ever has been a problem with the negotiations, or if there is some issue that is stopping Darren Glass from signing the contract. Yes I realise he is close, and will definately sign, but all am is curious to see whether something is preventing him from signing.
