I would like to email my vehement opposition.

WA state of origin is NOT part of our club's history.

There is something about Chris Judd being asked to wear a WA state guernsey is cringeworthy and embarassing.

Well, email away. Indulge yourself.

There are several threads on this already if you hadn't noticed.

For me there is something wrong if our heritage jumper couldnt be from one of the WAFL sides.State of origin was good at the time but we have to wrap our heads around our side not being a state side.

I've seen the same arguments being made about the Crows wearing SA state gurnseys. What i always wonder, why when the state leauges play each other wearing the state gurnsey's do they let blokes play who did not originate in that state? The way i see it is that Chris Judd has made just as great contribution to WA football as many of the ring ins playing in the SANFL do to SA and presumably there are also some in the WAFL:confused:

You have to remember that before Origin rules, it was exactly like the State League format in existence today. And that even when it was Origin, the league emblems were on the front long into the AFL years.

Anyway, I don't call those matches true State games, but State League representative games... not that there's anything wrong with that because they've provided me with some great memories.

Example: SANFL has had Paul Lindsay (Woodville-West Torrens, Tasmania, East Fremantle) play in the tri-colours. WAFL had Richard Ambrose (Port Adel. Magpies, Subiaco) play behind a black swan numerous times.

So all our jumpers have had histories at different levels.

I don't have a problem with players from interstate playing in the WA guernsey, as long as they earn it. Wearing it for a club game is not earning it, however

Why go to these lengths to stir up yet another controversy, it's the last thing our club needs? To me this is such a no-brainer.

Bloody hell Eagles, just wear the Yellow Peril.

Everyone loves it!

35 of our 38 listed players played their first senior game for a West Australian club - all apart from Hurn, Waters and Butler who played a handful of SANFL games before coming to the West Coast.

For what it's worth.
