This guy just oozed class in the final quarter. His defensive skills were awesome in the crunch. He is unsung,....and I think he loves it that way.
10/10 for Nick.

Ha Ha, Join the club!
I sunk a few & enjoyed the win immensely :D
Maxwell is a gem, puts his body on the line every time, an absolute credit to himself :thumbsu:
Time to just leave him in the backline
Time to just leave him in the backline
When he is in the back half he is always in the game as he can go about it with his 1%ers. He goes missing when playing up forward. Leave him down back.

I dont know, thought it may have been about the stupidest free kick ever given away? Who belts the oppositions star forward 40m off the ball and 20m out from goal for no reason?

Hehe that was dumb. Fev probably played it up but it was silly. Then the 50 to back it up by Harry O. Thankfully it didn't end up biting us in the butt.
Dale Thomas' hit on Murphy was pretty dumb too. Unless he did it when the game was well and truely over where I would of applauded it.

Dales hit is more forgiveable as it was in play, this was when play was stopped and a mile away, Dale was just frustrated by his treatment by Walker and decided he wasnt going to pull out the intended hit on Murphy
Plus it started the traditional fight between the 2 teams that probably led to the Qtr time scuffle, Maxwells wasnt tough just stupid :p

He more than made up for it with his defensive presence in the second half. Don't pick out one incident as a marker for the game he played. He is becoming a very established footballer, and if you want to talk about something he did, why not mention the spoil he smashed to wakelin which actually created a goal down the other end.
Maxwell has the stuff you look for in AFL captains....his captaincy stocks have risen in the last year or so hence his elevation to leadership group. The impression i get is he is relishing the added resposability and thriving...

Just don't put him in your Dreamteam because spoils, tackles and smothers don't count!
