I think he is a player in development... not quite first 22 material yet.

I'm wondering how much is him just not being ready yet, and how much is him just being average.

He's not a dud he's just average. He could have a role in the team though if things fall his way and he works hard enough. He could fill the back pocket role and release H.Shaw into the midfield. He certainly deserves a 3rd year. Now Stanley I'm not sure on, Cook needs to get a game for us to see what he can do.

14 possesions in his first game of the year and 4th of his career...I'm thinking you guys are being a little too harsh!:D

My impression is that he was lucky to be selected today, and didn't do a lot with the opportunity. I hope he has a lot of improvement in him.

he will be good in the long run, just have some faith, it was only his 4th game and he didnt fair to badly, dick did alot less than him and same with holland.

He just needs to fill out a little more, find his feet, and not go to ground as easily.

Well said, absolutely correct, all the other negative comments have people behind them that do not understand football in the slightest.

They're the ones that called Lockyer a dud, Swan a dud ect.

He is exactly as Paul said, a player in development, he has potential to be a good player, depends how he treats his development, definitely not a dud, otherwise he wouldnt be on the list.

I thought he was quite good today, he works hard off the ball, he lays tackles, and he can get the ball himself, think he had around 15 disposals.
He will get better, and should be given another go against the Bulldogs.
He certainly wasn't our worse player against carlton.

Yes. I definitely called two of my three favourite players duds.

Tough for a young kid to be thrown straight into a defensive / negating role as Iles has for the early part of his career so far. Looks like a back-pocket type and I agree that they'd be looking at him to free up Heath Shaw in the future.

I think he actually plays a little more like Rhyce. Bit of quickness about him but doesn't look confident.

In time he might be OK but not in our best 25.

Just watching the game now and some of the crap he has been given is BS. He did some very nice things in that game. Sure he may not be in our best 25 for the moment but he has played less then 10 games and should have a future at the pies. Hes never going to light the world on fire he will just be a solid player.

he is fine, worth keeping for another year to see if he can improve more!

When did you call Iles a dud in this thread for me to be talking about you?

will be a future player for us but unfortunately there's no know room next week to keep him in the side with players like Davis, Goldsack, Lonie, Cox, Egan all pushing for a valid spot in the team.

I havent been impressed by him from what ive seen.

He will probably struggle to remain on the list at the end of the year.

Still slim, in-experienced, and in development. Has to be given chances to prove his worth, and he will be given those chances. I think he'll develop into a good spare parts player.
