Hi Swans fans, my name is Emma and I would like to promote an event that I have had the pleasure to help organise and believe that some of you may be interested in.
“Outback Assist” is a program which sends university students to the outback to help indigenous communities. The students give up their holidays and raise money to pay for their own airline tickets and food. The students help to maintain buildings, paint, do carpentry, organise craft activities for the kids and play sport with the kids who absolutely love AFL. On Wednesday 16 May the University of NSW is holding an Outback Assist BBQ & Trivia Night to raise funds and Sydney Swans players – Adam Goodes and Michael O’Loughlin will be attending between 6.30 and 7.30 to sign autographs and chat. Tickets are $10 and there will be an Outback BBQ dinner of crocodile, emu, kangaroo and beef sausages. This also includes entry in the trivia competition which has some great prizes, including Sydney Swans merchandise. The Outback Assist Trivia Night and BBQ is being held at the Club Bar in the Roundhouse at the University of NSW (UNSW), come along and win great prizes, test your intellect and help raise funds for Outback Assist.
