Went down early to watch the VFL, and the two young guns weren't there

Rested? really?
Neither of them in their gear at 1/2 time.
Has anyone done a wrap on the VFL game? Or is it buried in other threads? Like to hear what others thought. Hunt made some terrible blunders and Byrnes did his usual fast-and-clever followed by a sh*thouse kick. King - ordinary, I thought. The H. and Charlie act rolls on.

Here you go mate wrote this up:

This is my job to come in :P

Rooke - Has been awesome last two weeks. Shown no signs of injury. Should come back in now. Put his ass on the line multiple times.

King - Dominated the ruck against some no names. Kicked a few goals to. As you would expect from a experienced player.

H -Did really well in defence. Didnt get the ball to much but nullified his opponent

S. Hunt - Created a lot of run this week. Still rate him very highly.

J. Hunt - Was ok, still isn't close to senior selection. Needs to get his confidence.

S. Owen - Played on Bolton and calved him up. He gave up so much size and really did play well.

Bedford - Played a lot of half back and looked ok. Still learning the game and is developing very well.

Byrnes -Showed a lot today, and really played well. Still his disposal was horrible and really is still of a bit. Similar to hunt.

Callan - Fresh played superbly off half back. Really love the way he plays. His courage is sensational!

Davenport -Best on ground for me. He created lots of run and pushed up the ground hard. He will be a player.

Gamble - Looks good coming back from injury. Kicked a few goals and is starting to get his season on track

Gardiner - Got a bit of the ball, but still his decision making hurts him way to much. Was pretty good today, just needs to look at his options.

Hogan - Was handy up forward. Still is a project player.

Prismal - CLASSY, was soooo good today! He just ran and ran and really should be in our 22. Will be a starr

Spencer - Struggled a bit today. He really needs to dominate the game more. Looks a bit out of depth to be honest

West - His development has been stunted with king. He showed some greath athleticisim.

Missing:

Djidi
Grima

Ive got some photos and videos ill put up!

Thanks rizzo. I don't think Bolton was 'calved'. The rest fits in with what I saw in the main - did not mean to be too critical as they played well as team. Tim Callan took a spectacular mark - good solid game - and I often wonder what he has done to be out of favour with Bomber. Feel sorry for Josh Hunt who is missing something. Prismall I've come to expect a lot of and he does not disappoint.

I wonder if Bomber just looks at Ottens mark of the year and has noted that Tim C came pretty close to spoiling it? ;)

Prismall is fantastic, I still think of that goal he kicked in the pre-season last year.

I'm surprised they've stuck with Charlie Gardiner this long. His first game was after all that one against Carlton in 2002 (round 12?). Maybe Bomber has some of Sheedy's tendancies to stick with project players.

That Prissa goal against Freo last year was ace!

Anyone know yet what happened to Grima and Djerrkura?

Check out the VFL match reports on the GFC site each week...

Todd Grima and Nathan Djerrkura were both late withdrawals from the side...

True... but would suggest they weren't rested or injured early in the match though.
