What happenes with a record (longest consecutive winning streak) like this one, is that after winning convincingly against tough opposition, a lot of sides go into a lull the next round and drop a game against middle of the road opposition.

So let's hope that the Lions can make it 20 in a row against the doggies, and not fall victim to the "big game hangover".

Seventeen goals for the Bradshaw family for the day.
There was a thread on here a while back about what nickname the other Bradshaw went by. Maybe it should be, "The Other", as in the other Bradshaw. Something like the forgotten Waugh, but not for so long.
Charman lived up to wildest expectations.
Is there anyone out there who still believes Ackermanis didn't deserve a Brownlow.
This win was not so important because it was our 19th in a row. It was important because it confirmed to everyone, especially the Lion supporters, that last year wasn't a fluke.

Strangly enough, in 2000, when Essendon were on their winning streak, they were up to 20 wins on the trot, when they faced the Western Bulldogs at Colonial, and lost.

The Lions will not want to take this game lightly at all (and likewise, the following weeks).

Hey, the Crows beat you in the first round of the wizard cup, so technically you have not won 19 in a row! Maybe if you are only counting the AFL season proper you might have 19 wins straight. Anyway well done, but watch out for the Crows cause we have beaten you the last two times we have played!

I was about to mention that very fact...

Don't worry, we don't want to alienate anyone, we'll stop your streak like we did Essendons

Definite danger game against the Scraggers. Especially if our injured troops struggle to come up.

It's only counted on the home and away season... besides, in the preseason cup brisbane played with half their rookie list. So claiming that you beat the premiership side isn't true.

I didn't say anything about beating the premiership side - all I said was the facts - Adelaide beat Brisbane round 1 of the Wizard Cup at the GABBA. Nothing more, nothing less.
