I take the 4 points anyway North can get them too... was thinking for a while during the 4th quarter that we might snatch another... but then when you play well for one and a half quarters you can't expect to win...
unless you remember the Melb v Roos game at colonial... 11 goals in the second quarter and that was it...

and what a ****ed up game that was! Grgic had a chance to win it in the dieing stages as well. I think that was the last game we lost until the 2000 Grand Final.
Congrats to the Cats on their win tonight. Didnt see it, but Im planning to. Cheers for wiping out half the players in Santos' new comp as well ;)

Well done Cats. Your blokes were just hungrier for the ball and more disciplined in following their game plan, and you got a well deserved win.
Good luck for the rest of the season.

It was a hard game and it wasn't pretty football, but both teams went in hard and in the end we answered the challenge from the Roos and won by 8 points. How good was that roar when Gary Ablett Jnr. kicked his first ever goal for Geelong.... that was awesome!!
Go Cats!!

I agree Seindude, it was an awesome roar. The loudest we were all night. What a goal it was too. I was glad to be there when he kicked his first goal, the first of many hopefully.
It was a good game. The skills weren't that crash hot but it was tough and tight all night. I honestly thought the Kangas would overrun us but we showed some real guts tonight and I was glad we got over the line.

the geelong lady next to me actually started crying when he kicked that one and declared " that is one of the greatest moments in my life seeing gary's son kick his first goal"
what an amazing reaction! if i hadn't been in such a bad mood whilst you catters were stitching us up, i may been able to see her point!
with a full day for my mood to wear off, i have to say that her reaction is a great reason to keep the father-son rule. the effect that that had on her was incredible.
if north had won last night, it would have been a win that i could only class as stolen. geelong were better for most of the game.
Ling was fantastic.
good luck for the rest of the year - round 18 excluded.

What I cant understand is why you are so nasty on the main board and so friendly here, or are you nasty only to a select few?

If you want to be my enemy... that is up to you... as I read it... the fun I had on the main board... was all of your asking... afterall you chose to join up with a piefan... not me...
as Mum always said "you can choose your friends..." and you chose piefans...
