There were quite a few "contributors" who played their part.

Bushy: Continually harrassed and tackled, that tackle on the Northern Stand wing was a pearler, felt that from the living room. Racked up a 13 touches and 4 tackles, played a good game. Stood up to Allessio after he took the mark, gave him something to think about.

Charman & McLaren: Together, they stood up and defeated the well publicised Essendon ruck division of Hille and Allessio. 25 Hit-Outs between them.

Possum: Damn, he can jump, run, kick and mark. He will be a gun and is developing into a fine marking option in the middle of the ground. Similar figures to Bushy, 4 marks.

This mob, including Black, Brown, Mcgrath, Power, McDonald and 1/2 dozen other are gonna be the core of the team in 5 years, which looks pretty damn good for us.

On the other hand, Lynch played a shocker, Missed a simple overhead mark and fluffed 2 shots at goal.

Looking forward to next week.

P.S Can Darren Bradshaw can play 2 games whilst he is on the rookie list?

If so, let's take him next week or the week after, take him to Perth and save Lynchy the travel. Just an idea.

To my understanding, no rookie can play a senior game, unless promoted to the senior list (due to a retirement, or a player with a long-term injury).

Although Lynch had a shocker, it was only one game, and he was covered well by a good oppponent. Lynch looked more "out of touch", than "past it" and therefore, I'm expecting him to be better in the coming weeks.

Early warning signs  :p

After last week, he looked very insipid and tired tonight, which worries me a great deal as to how he will come out next week...

Do we have the players to take on inform Lynch & Bradshaw?

Surely this is the best forward combination in the league at the moment (disregarding tonight)

Just a few things.
As of this year, the new rules are that a rookie can play 2 games in the seniors in any given year.
Didn't junior Bradshaw kick 11 goals.Has been BOG all year in the ressies. What I like about him is his chasing and 2nd efforts.Tireless worker.
The pleasing thing about last night is that we won without our normal rucks, Browny and Vossy for a half and Power. The other players played extremely well as a team.

Saw Bradshaw The Younger in action last night. Can't say much for his opposition, but he really does look the goods. Terrific hands; reliable kick. Could be an inch or two on the short side, though, to be a consistently successful FF at AFL level; bit like Doc Wheildon, but without the psychotic tendencies.

Bradshaws confidence will be sky high after that game and his 6 goals. Me thinks that he'll be getting even better as the season moves along.

ripper.... i didnt realise that 'kid' bradshaw had 24 possessions as well as kicking 11 goals.....

heheh
after the game i said to him......just a few today huh & he said...
'yeah just a couple'... LOL
he should have another big game this week against his old team & the reserves may remember the first game of the season last year...
we had won all our pre-season games by an ave. of 100 points & then... faced morningside as a curtain raiser at the gabba in round one & lost..... it was abig drag back down to earth. but they all seem to want to defend their premiership & have been having a field day out there against less than up to standard opposition.

he hasnt been b.o.g everyweek campbell he gives it his best shot.... & like u said.. i also like his 2nd efforts.... but i dont think that he was that great against the magpies last weekend...

it shows how dominant the ressies were when u have him kicking 11 goals & having 24 possessions but still having 2 players getting more possessions that him.... very promising
