How some of the boys played this weekend. I only saw West Perth vs Perth so the rest of my comments are assumptions.

Humm:

20 possesions (18 kicks + 2 handballs)
3 marks
1 behind
3 tackles

Seemed to play his usual role at HB, sweeping around, picking up the ball and clearing. Looks like he had a good game.

Prior:

14 possesions (12 kicks + 2 handballs)
2 marks
2 tackles

Not bad for a comeback after a knee reco. Another couple of weeks in the WAFL and he will be pressing for selection. According to VOR, only played for a half as well.

Cox:

12 possesions (9 kicks + 3 handballs)
6 marks
1 behind
3 tackles

He seems to be struggling a bit at the moment, but still, wasn't an overly bad game for a ruckman. He obviously won't be playing today against the Bullies.

Munro:

19 possesions (17 kicks + 2 handballs)
6 marks
3 tackles

If only he had a bit more bulk on him he could be a very good midfielder. Another very good performance following his previous WAFL form. Wonder if they will consider him at all?

Hansen:

11 possesions (10 kicks + 1 handball)
4 marks
3 goals, 2 behinds
1 tackle

Good to see him getting some touches and having a few shots on goal. The week I saw him, he was a bit all over the place. Will still need the year in the WAFL though.

Sampi:

13 possesions (8 kicks + 5 handballs)
1 mark
7 tackles

Not the best of Sampi by the looks of it.

Harding:

18 possesions (11 kicks + 7 handballs)
2 marks
3 tackles

He can work up his form as much as he wants in the WAFL, as long as he doesn't get selected. Doesn't look like a bad game though, bit hard to tell really.

Carroll:

13 possesions (9 kicks + 4 handballs)
2 marks
1 tackle

Not bad for a backman. Won't be playing today though.

McDougall:

11 possesions (9 kicks + 2 handballs)
6 marks

He looked a bit all over the place. Whoever Perth's coach is, they didn't play him very well. They should have just kept him on the HF line and taken him off when he needed a rest. Instead, he was forced to do ruck, CHB and forward. When he builds up his fitness again, he will be a good player.

Lynch:

20 possesions (14 kicks + 6 handballs)
7 marks
1 goal, 1 behind
3 tackles

A 191 cm midfielder is what he is. He ran all day and for a 100kg person, thats pretty impressive. Should have finished with 2 goals but missed an absolute sitter running in directly in front. I can definetely see him being promoted and he certainly looked an all-australian U18.

For todays game, the bench was going to be from:

Judd
Banfield
Carroll - won't play. Played WAFL yesterday.
Cox - same as Carroll.
Fletcher
Green
Hunter

My bet is on Judd, Green, Hunter and Fletcher with Banfield emergency. Banfield has been pretty ordinary since he came back and Green has played well as a small defender in the WAFL.

Lynch was very impressive and looks a ready made player to be honest, he seems to have the build to match it with players in the AFL

McDougall didnt do much for me... he was on the bench for long spells at a time and when on the ground didnt really make a huge difference... bit worried about him to be honest

Prior confirmed at half time that he indeed did only play half a game of football and still picked up 14 possessions. I'd give him another couple of weeks, see how he goes, and he could be back for us soon. Any news on Morrison?

Actually, at least we know whats wrong with Morrison, what the hell is wrong with Seaby? I haven't seen him mentioned at all since we drafted him with our 22nd picked or whatever. Hasn't even played in the WAFL!

Seaby's a young bloke - I don't even think he's played for the Falcons first team.

That's ok - the big blokes need more time - we can't all be Daniel Kerr, you know.

For a top 30 draft pick in a very good draft, you would expect to see him playing in a WAFL first team. Lets face it, the WAFL isn't the strongest competition going around at the moment and AFL listed players should be expected to be playing first grade WAFL. Ashley Hansen is considered raw young tall talent, was taken the next round after Seaby and is playing for SD's firsts. I'm just a bit concerned about Seaby's progress and his potential to play at AFL level.

Seaby copped a pretty bad knee injury during the pre-season, and I'm not sure he back playing yet.

Also - considering he hasn't played for six weeks - it was quite a good return for McDougall on Saturday. Has very good skills for a big guy, and looks quite imposing now that he's put some meat on those arms and upperbody.
Hopefully he can string some solid games together at WAFL level in coming weeks.

Good to see Humm playing well.
I still think he should be in the side. How about Humm replacing Hunter next week?

Thanks Vis for the roundup again...looks to becoming a regular thing which i would like. Humm looks to be playing well and im sure its only a matter of time before he gets a game. I wonder if Green not playing over the weekend will hurt his chances of selection. Ive often wondered if its better for a young bloke like Green to travel with the team but not needed. Then he doesnt get a game in and with other impressing in the WAFL does he fall back down the line again??

Seaby's coming back from injury and will probably spend most of his time playing for the West Perth reserves before pushing for selection in the league team. I dont think the Eagles expect him to play this year - as they said when they selected him, he's a long-term prospect.
