Before the season started I had it as:

1st team;

FB:...Crouch...Barry...CBolton
HB:...Kennelly...LRT...Dempster
CE:...Malkeski...JBolton...Goodes
HF:...N. Davis..Hall..R. O'Keefe
FF:...O'Loughlin...Everitt...Schneider
RU:..Jolly...Kirk...Buchanan
BE:..McVeigh..Richards..Fosdike..Ablett
EM:..Vogels..Schmidt..Moore

I'd have given Doyle a game if he wasn't injured too.

The only changes I'd make now (Based on current form) are:

Schmidt in - McVeigh out.
Vogels in - Richards out.

And wherever possible not play Leo Barry at FB.

I think its pretty good, though the thing about top 22 is they are a work in progres,

My one change has been made here.

Ignore where i've put them because i suck at stuff like that.

B: Richards, Barry, Roberts-Thompson
HB: Kennelly, C.Bolton, Malceski
C: Fosdike, Kirk, Buchanan
HF: Davis, Hall, O'Keefe
F: Everitt, MOL, Schneider
R: Jolly, Goodes, Ablett
INT: Mathews, Dempster, Schmidt, J.Bolton
EMG: Crouch, McVeigh, Moore.

Hm, i dunno. Ask me in a few weeks, Crouch has only been playing a few weeks after a being off for quite a while, so he's possibly just gotta find some form, but then on the other hand he may never find it, he may be past it.. who knows. Then McVeigh.. he's so BLAH right now. But i'm really hoping he can find some good form soon.

I'd pretty much go with Nat's.

I'd like to see Ablett, Mathews and J Bolton gradually replaced by players like Brabazon, Laidlaw, Moore, Thornton and Jack (and also I'd like to see White and Rowe).

I'd like to find a replacement for Richards too.

Ah, i can't believe i spelt LRT's last name wrong. Bad me.

I agree with that, except the Ablett part. I'm a big Lukey fan.

Richards has been disappointing this year, but hopefully he can get back into some form from the end of last year.

I agree he's starting to fray at the edges. But I thought Teddy actually started the season very well. He and Craig Bolton really shot out of the blocks. He's fallen away a bit as his fellow defenders have been getting injured and he's been put under more pressure. Plus seeing our midefilders have stopped clearing the ball and our tackling numbers are plummeting, he's found the ball whistling in his direction a lot more especially in the last couple of rounds.

He did play well in the first game didn't he? I can't remember like any of it now, but i can remember him playing well. But since then has he done anything? Who did we play round 2?

We played Richmond in round 2.

Our backline has actually been playing very well this year. Bolton and Kennelly both started with AA form. Richards was continuing his GF form. Dempster's long kicking was really giving us some drive of halfback. Leo was rebounding well, and we had Malceski and Schneider/Amon working hard for us.

But then Bolton had that ankle(?) scare, Tiger and Dempster both went down, Amon got hurt, and Goodes (who's form has been poor, but has been working across our backline helping out with LRT's height missing back there) did a shoulder.

Richards is important to us - especially as he and Bolton work well in tandem covering for each other when one or the other pushes forward to help build an attack. But with the injuries he's pretty much been pinned in the square or close to it of late. He works best when he can cameo up the ground where his marking strength is a real asset. And I'm hoping we can orchestrate a bit more of that for the rest of the year.

Yeah, well hopefully in a few weeks we'll have our defence back at full strength, with Dempster, Tadhg and LRT all back and then Teddy will be a little less tied up.
