View Full Version : Is Simon Goodwin a Robert Mugabe supporter?

The Advertiser and Adelaide’s version of Naomi Robson, only saturated us with about 3 months of articles on the Simon Goodwin betting scandal. Six months later, Rucci is still finding ways to bring up the incident whenever he can.

We all know how Rucci came down all fire and brimstone (roughly one or two articles) when that lovable old rogue Dean Brogan was out assaulting pesky Crows fans and those aggressive Doctors walking their dogs. And wasn’t he tough (roughly nil articles) when a Port player was out lurking in the shadows in one of our well known public parks.

IMO Rucci and The Advertiser have gone way too soft on Simon Goodwin because I have managed to come up with some quite damning Goodwin incidents myself with only minimal investigation.

The below photo is of a Pro-Mugabe rally held in February this year. You can’t really make it out, but towards the rear of the rally, there is a guy, who looks remarkably like Simon Goodwin, holding up a “I Love Bob” banner and wearing a duffle coat with “Bob 1 Mugabe” on his back.

So not only has Simon Goodwin comprised the integrity of Aussie Rules, Australian and World Sport is he also a card carrying member of Mugabe’s Zanu PF party?

Thoughts/Comments/Critisms.

"But those issues were before the courts"

I tire of that excuse.

Also, can we make a new board rule involving no discussion of MR. We all know he thrives on this attention and by creating numerous threads on him we are feeding his addiction.

The mods should instantly delete all MR threads unless they are praiseworthy towards MR.

Mine is praiseworthy. If anything, it's obvious Ruc hasn't dug deep enough.

If anyone from the Advertiser reads this thread, I expect you'll be offered a job shortly.

Your journalistic ability, obvious in-depth research and the fact that you clearly aren't letting any personal feelings enter your report is at the standard where you could be their chief football writer.

I'll go even further in depth with my weekly 'roast' and declare that Simon Goodwin is in fact, Robert Mugabe

It's true. The ALMA actually stands for: All Love Mugabe. Awesome.

Where are those drug testers? There would have to be a few positive results in this thread, surely.

Good point. Have you ever seen Mugabe and Goodwin in the same room together. Ruc is looking into it.
