Phew that's a relief. Now we might only lose by 8 goals if we're lucky.

Lets not get carried away here; but McLeod should have a field day.
I'd be happy with a win but it could be a blow-out if our midfield do a repeat :thumbsu:

Go Dogga for 3 in a row;)

When Pfeiffer does finally make his bow I'll be actively calling him 'Drummond' from my AAMI Stadi vantage point.

Yeah, has he even trained once this season?

Much as I like Welsh's work ethic and abilities, this must be his last year if things continue as they are. Must be a nightmare to be coaching him never knowing if he'll be there at the weekend or not.

Bit surprised to see Massie on the emergency list, he hasn't played a game all year!

Burton and Welsh are a 90% chance of playing according to Craig :thumbsu:

Would imagine if Welsh is out either Kenny or Jericho goes to FF ...........if they decide on Jericho then either Pfieffer or Massie occupies the HBF or backup midfield role.

Surely Massie wouldn't line up? As Punchy Bassett said, he hasn't even played a game.

Given his time out I'd say no .....Pfieffer must have a real chance as if we do need to go tall we don't require Kenny up forward we've got Griffin.

I've got him off the bench, scores 0 and whoever scores better out of Brennan and J. Smith goes onto the total.

I would love for us to have everyone back bar Hentschel and Biglands by about round 16 or 17 and just go on a 2006esque rampage that extends into the finals. :thumbsu:

That's the plan :thumbsu:

I one of Burton or Welsh miss out then McGregor will come in despite the short week. And this weather thing doesn't mean anything since Kenny is a good wet weather player.

Last time be played in terrential rain (first showdown last year) we played 3 ruckmen and still won by some 50 points.

Biglands also said he was targeting a comeback for this year's finals

Please God no. Watching Hudson and Griffin in action has just about been my highlight of the season so far. IMO the ruck is potentially the biggest area of improvement for the club this season. Not so much the tap ruck work, but now when the ball hits the ground we are playing 18 vs 18 - a huge step up.

I rate you with a very slight chance. The Crows have been pretty ordinary at home thus far this year and a side without a win after so long is always a danger. Plus we're coming back from Brisbane, wonder if that'll affect us at all?

I am concerned about the same thing, its a real danger game IMO. It is going to be wet and we are off an away trip to Brisbane.

Do people actually realise just how bad Richmond are? All these calls of a “danger game” are just ridiculous. Of course you’re not a certainty to win any game you play, but we go into this game as heavy favourites and rightfully so. Richmond play with absolutely no intensity and this will be a walk in the park.

If we lose this I am demanding the players chip in and pay my $230 in flights and an unspecified alcohol bill (which will probably be higher than normal if they do lose).

Always beware the team with nothing to lose. Was last time we played richmond really too long ago for you to remember?

This is the attitude that causes you to drop games you shouldn't.

Agreed. I wish people would learn from what the past has tried to teach them. You take EVERY game seriously because at the end of the day the opposition is an AFL team made up of AFL players that play AFL footy. Don't think for a second we won't get beaten if we take this game lightly - do that and we'll be soundly beaten. Truth be told, when we played them in 2006 not only were we "defended" out of the contest, they smashed us at the contested footy at the crucial stages of the game. If you don't respect the opposition, they'll send you packing.

I just hope Craigy has the boys fired up and ready to attack this as if it were against the Eag-err, Sydney.
When did I say we shouldn't take this game seriously? We should and we will. We'll come out just as hard as we always do, but to say it's a danger game is just ridiculous. It makes a mockery of the term.

whilst everyone was surprised to see wallet throw the kitchen sink at us last year - that game was in melbourne, tomorrow we are at home.

that alone is a big difference.

No that was yesterday apparently. NC said he could have played tonight if the coach had asked him to.

Hopefully he will be right in a couple of weeks. ;)

I think that would be fantastic. Given our current injury list the opportinity to play Pfieffer is now. As players like Bode and Johncock become available the same opportunity to give Pfieffer a run will disappear. I am very keen to see Pfieffer play.

You could be on to something there.. very good point.. stuff like that does happen on the News, usually to do with wars in Iraq and stuff like that so who knows?

Anyway, yes we must take this game seriously but to call it a 'danger game' is absolutely ridiculous and taking things a bit too far. Drummond is spot on once again. If this is a danger game then every single match this season is a danger game and we all know, deep down in our collective hearts and souls, that is not true.

Agreed on both counts.
I am sure that the News always wheels out footage of the same people shooting AK 47s in the air and chanting "Death to America!"
And this is not a danger game. In 2 weeks time we play Melbourne who are getting back into form and full strength....that will be a danger game.

The game isn't even live into Melbourne. Apparently Better Homes & Gardens if far more important to Ch7.

And i thought chanel 10 last year where bad.

They look like bloody legends this year up against 7.

But we all know that both are absolutley rubbish really.

What a bleedin' disgrace matey, the game is in Adelaide so it's not like it's shown live against the gate for van Berlo's sake!!!

its rediculous that it isnt being shown live into Melbourne. i remember last year, i think it was essendon vs adelaide, the game didnt start till 8:10 adelaide time so it was shown live into Melbourne! i guess that was a bit late to start a footy game!

I have banned all radio's within a 10km radius of me tonight so i can watch it "live"!! hopefully i can resist temptation.
